Charming...but needs an editor
As I am sure others have pointed out, we can forgive you the fireflies, as so many people depend on Disney for their natural history, but etymology when you mean entomology is a bit painful.

Spellbindingly good!!
God I love a good supernatural romance novel!! This had everything I loved in one book!! It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me wish I was a witch!! Great storyline, great characters, love a good familiar!! Love the family closeness a little bit of drama but not overly dramatic like kidnapping etc so it was a really enjoyable read for me. I’m loving this series of books!! I hope there is more love stories to come.

Swoonable cosy witchy, English seaside village read
Book 2 in the Charming Cove series⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶I didn't want this book to end. The couple is swoonworthy, and the story is unputdownable. The best part was that it was unpredictable, and I love that.Book 1 set the stage for a beautiful seaside village filled with magic, but book 2 brought us a sweet couple fake dating turn real. Emma is a sweet natured witch searching for a place to belong, a forever family. The Duke of Blackthorn has a reputation, but he is healing from a betrayal. With his grandmother visiting, he makes a deal with Emma that she can't refuse, and a battle of not falling for each other ensues. With witty side characters like the skunk familiar Penelope, the Duke's aunt, and so many more. How to fake date a vampire is a sweet cosy read that I highly recommended.Favourite qoutes:You want me to stink bomb them, don’t you? “Please?” She scoffed. The indignity. “What indignity? You’re a skunk. It’s like your superpower. I wish I had a superpower.” Hmmm.He looked as perfect as ever, with his mahogany hair swept off his forehead, and his thin navy sweater pushed up his forearms. I did the first idiot thing I could think of and blurted, “It’s not poo.”I closed my eyes, horrified. “On my skirt, I mean. Your Grace.”

Fun book
An interesting read, if you can ignore the constant internal dialogue in our main character . Yes I know it’s a fake relationship but why does she have to go on and on about it, then to believe what the papers say, knowing they will write anything to sell copies. The Duke is no better he believes the words from a reporter, talk about gullible.

Sweet paranormal romance with mild angst and a feisty skunk sidekick
Fake dating is a classic romcom trope for a reason and as the title suggests, that's exactly what this book is all about. Combine one witch with everything to prove to her coven, a dashing duke with a dark secret and a charming Cornish village and you have all the ingredients for an entertaining, charmingly cheesy story (and I mean that in a good way!). I'm a sucker for an animal sidekick and I won't reveal much for risk of spoilers, but there's a skunk called Penelope and she's honestly the best character. Despite the title, lovers of vampires won't actually find much here, it's very much a witchy novel, but it's a great one for lovers of a found family (another classic trope!).

This sees Emma, an apprentice Witch try to win the opportunity to host the Beltane Ball in order to become an official witch if her coven. But she needs a great venue. Enter Alaric, Duke of Blackthorn. He has an incredible estate but has never allowed anyone use it for venues. Can Emma change his mind and hers about the gentry?A sweet story, full of romance and magic.

This was a fun, fluffy, magical/paranormal romance.
I would say this book falls in the romcom genre. This was a 5⭐️ read, very light on the spice! This book follows Emma, an orphaned witch with a longing to belong, as she needs to find a place to host an annual ball for her coven to become an official member. Emma decides the only place suitable to make her stand out is the Blackthorn Estate belonging to Alaric, a reclusive vampire duke. Alaric agrees to host the ball if Emma fakes date him to make his grandmother happy. The MCs are attracted to each other and start to develop feelings. But it is complicated because Emma has braised feelings about titles and wealthy people based on the actions of Alaric’s father, and Alaric was burned by a past girlfriend who sold his family secrets to the magical press.I always prefer books with dual POVs and this was no different. The author did a great job of character building; I could really feel Emma’s longing to belong and find a family, along with the pain Alaric feels at a past betrayal and desire to make his grandmother happy. The world building and descriptions in this book were an effortless continuation from the first book. The journey of Emma and Alaric building upon their feelings is so sweet! We get comedy from Emma’s playful and sass familiar, Penelope the Skunk! I love Alaric’s grandmother, she is so posh and regal but approachable and lovable, plus she loves binge watching TV in secret (Breaking Bad fan!)Thank you NetGalley, Bonnie Doon Press and Linsey Hall for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review. I requested this book after it was release because 1) I didn’t know it was on KU and 2) I didn’t know it was book 2. Therefore, I did not read this until I read the first book.

Another winner
I'm not quick to kiss up and gush over a writer. Having said that, I love Linsey's world of Charming Cove and it inhabitants. Our witch, Emma, and the Duke Alaric, strike up a deal where he will allow Emma's coven hold their Beltane Ball on his grounds if she pretends to be his girlfriend for his grandmother's benefit. Of course they fall in love.Is Book 3 out yet? No? I'll wait.

So Good
OMG I just adore and love this story. It was just as good as the 1st Charming Cove book and I really hope that there’ll be more in this series. If you like a “feel good” romcom that will leave you with a huge smile on your face then you need to read “How to Fake Date a Vampire”.The characters will have you hooked as soon as you meet them and the storyline was great too.Emma our FMC is a witch who just wants to belong and just wait until you meet her familiar 😂Our MMC “the Duke” is hot, hot, hot and is also sweet and caring which the newspapers of course never report. They only depict him as cold and unfeeling. This is such an awesome story and I highly recommend it! Even though this is book 2 it’s actually a standalone story.
