The good: it does soften clothes. No real scent. No irritation. Easy to dispense, and no throw-away sheets to pollute in the landfill and also with microfibers (hopefully the jug recycles as it should).The sort-of bad: leaves a waxy buildup in the washing machine's plumbing. It works better if you can dilute this with water. Save an empty bottle, and mix 3:2 (3 parts softener, 2 parts water). Makes a thinner fluid that leaves less residue; of course you have to dispense 1.5x as much.

One of the few fabric softeners I can use because of sensitive skin. If I use anything but free and clear, it makes me itch. I bought this when it was on sale and it was a good value for the money.

I have never used fabric softener before because when my mom used it back in the 70s it smelled super fake and bad. I got desperate because of static cling of all things and thought I would give this free and clear stuff a try. unlike a lot of free and clear products this actually has no scent and got rid of the static cling. I have sensitive skin and whatever they put in this stuff is non irritating which is great
