These scissors are smart and a matt black. They don't feel as substantial as I'd imagined they would as they are small, even though I went for the larger size, but my fingers fit into the handles, though the handle rims are thin and totally un-cushioned, and the open/close action is smooth. They are small enough to fit into my crochet hook roll neatly so are great to take out with me. I bought them to snip off yarn ends after losing a much larger pair and they do this well, even at the tip, which I am pleased about. However, the tips and blades weren't strong enough to snip through multiple strands when I was making a pom pom (I was cutting round the edges to free the pom pom from the pom pom maker) which is something that I would have liked them to do. Overall, a nice pair of scissors with the great advantage of portability but they have limitations so probably won't be the only pair you need.

I purchased these because they had very fine points and the listing said they were sharp and good for precision cutting,they are not sharp and and practically useless for precision cutting,I should have returned them
