Ancol Whippet Dog Coat Black 53 cm

The first coat I got had a much better teddy bear fleece lining. The second one I ordered had a much lighter smoother lining, not as good as the teddy bear fleece lining. My old lurcher prefers the teddy bear lining. Great for sizing, the extra large is great for a lurcher with long back and big chest.

We had the smaller version of this coat before but our saluki lurcher grew out of it. I like the design as it isn't too fussy, just a nice simple coat that keeps him really warm. The picture doesn't do it justice - it is mucher nicer than that! I have deducted a star as the head hole is huge on this size and I suspect that anyone with a sighthound will need to sew it up a bit to make it smaller so the coat fits better overall. I see that someone else who reviewed had to do the same thing. The way the coat is designed makes it easy to do this if you need to though.

I measured my dog carefully, she measured 68 cm along her back but the Xlarge swamped my saluki/greyhound cross. I ended up buying the M from a pet shop which was the exact same coat and it fits her tummy and back perfectly. If you have a full grown greyhound the Xlarge is for you but my long backed small tummed pooch loves her coat.

The coat looks well made, but the sizing is really off. I measured my whippet and ordered the size Large which should have fit - but it was tiny! I could hardly put it on her. Sent it back, ordered the next size up: Extra Large. Coat arrived, and it was massive. It fits my greyhound, although even for her I would have preferred it to be a bit smaller.So I'm sending both of them back and will buy something else for my whippet, I don't think they ever tried these coats on sighthounds.

Good tough coat for my lurchers, would have given 5 but belly belt could do with some more velcro so excess could wrap over their backs and not stick up.. But they are young..

not the best fit for my greyhound(shes a little on the small sid for a grey) the neck opening is way to big but it does the job well enough for the price and the quality is good.

This dog coat is the first one that the dog hasn’t managed to take off due to the collar being sealed instead of just fastened with Velcro. Perfect fit.

I would have preferred a front opening, closing with velcro. It did not fit my dog around the front so I sewed it up to make it smaller.It fits well now and is a warm coat and waterproof.
