Ethanol 190 Proof (95%) USP/FCC Food Grade Alcohol, Kosher-1 Liter

While I have no way of knowing the actual purity of this ethanol, I do know it is perfect for my needs. I use it to make liquors. It does show 95% on my hydrometer and I am very happy with it. This is one of the few suppliers on amazon that can provide a product at this proof, this quality, and this price. I stick by lab alley, and WILL BUY AGAIN. this is my fourth purchase from them, and this is the only supplier I use for food grade lab supplies. Thank you, I don't know how I could work without you!

This food-safe ethanol helps make a great hot pepper extract. It's very expensive but still a great product.

Since I know quite a few people are going to want to consume this, I’ll just say, from personal experience, it’s not great for that. You’ll likely notice right away that this smells a *lot* sweeter than regular pure ethanol. This carries over to the taste too. It took me a bit to figure out, but this product contains a *ton* of ethyl acetate - while this is present in wine, the amount of ethyl acetate this contains makes it completely overpowering and very difficult to drink. Not only that, but it gives you a KILLER headache. It provides a very, very “dirty” drunk feeling that is absolutely horrible. This, thank god, doesn’t contain methanol, so you won’t go blind, but because of the contamination of so much ethyl acetate, I can’t guarantee that this is actually safe to consume as some of you may be led to think. Just get some everclear.For cleaning purposes I’m sure this is fine. For lab purposes, this isn’t as pure as it says.

Using this for herbal tinctures and it works great! Very strong extractions with as close to full spectrum properties as possible.

Came way faster then expected

I've ran some tests on this product, and it simply does NOT match the purity level one would expect at this price range. For $63.00 a liter, 95% ethanol should be exceptionally pure. It isn't. I even double-checked my quantitative analysis will qualitative analysis. It didn't pass. I would pay $30.00 a liter for this product, but not a dime more.
