It's the real deal.
I purchased this B3 do to the mg content. I am very sensitive to B3 and had a very bad experience with a higher dose. while I did get a little red in the face and very slight itching those effects only lasted for 15 minutes max. That let me know it's the real deal. I will by weekly go up in dose and see if it improves my blood pressure. So far so good. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to take B3.

Did the job!
I only bought this bottle to get started on my niacin journey. I was told to start slow and build up slowly until I reached my desired mg. These were perfect for this. The flush was off and on, it all depended on whether I took on an empty stomach or a full stomach.

Vitamin B3, also known as Niacin.
This vitamin supplement is from the Dr. Mercola brand. Mercola is a controversial Internet personality. He has made a fortune from selling supplements and devices, so I tend to be a bit skeptical, but I do think his brand tries to produce decent supplements. The fillers and additives seem to be clean and harmless unless you are allergic to one of them. Niacin (B3) is an important nutrient, but it is present in most high-protein foods, and in many enriched grain products. It is also converted from tryptophan in the body. There are different forms of B3 supplements going by various different names, and if you take a multivitamin, you probably don’t need to take this unless you have certain conditions. In that case, your doctor will advise you. It is not a good idea to take high doses of niacin on your own. Most adults need 14 to 35 mg daily. The dosage in this particular product is 50 mg, which may be too high if you are already taking multivitamins and enriched products. Check the labels. (I did not think about this at first, which is probably why I really didn’t feel great after taking this supplement in the morning at the same time that I drank a vitamin-enriched smoothie.) For some medical conditions, much higher doses of niacin are prescribed, but they should be taken under a doctor’s care and monitored for side effects.

I'm allergic to something in this supplement, unclear what.
Caused an allergic reaction - facial swelling, rash, prickly skin. My symptoms occurred every day I took this. I thought it was due to rice hull and rice bran extract, which I saw in an image of the bottle online, but looking at the label on the bottle, neither of these ingredients is present, so the cause of my reaction remains a mystery.

Love Mercola Products
Be SURE to take with a meal not just a light meal but something of substance especially if you are small because it does cause flushing in me about half an hour later if I don’t eat enough along with it. If you’ve never experienced flushing, imagine your face feeling tingly and suddenly your arms and hands too and you look sunburned. It lasts about an hour. Not your best look so just be aware. I am small in stature so even this low dose does it to me but all I do to prevent it is drink a protein smoothie with plenty of add-ins and that’s when I take half of my supplements for the day. Your skin needs this! And your blood vessels.
