Great book
I ordered this book for our 5 year old because his 2 year old sibling started having seizures. It is well written and helped him to understand seizures. I would recommend for anyone with children who has witnessed or will be around someone with seizures.

Help explaining epilepsy to kids
This book helped my son who is 11 years old. It is difficult to explain complicated medical diagnosis Ed to kids. This book can assist, we also sent it to school so the class can read it and be prepared should he have a seizure in school.

"It's about me!"
We bought this book for our 2 yr old & her cousins & future playmates. When we read it to her the first time, she was completely absorbed; more so than with any book we've read her to date, and she's already a bookworm. She wanted it read twice more. She calls it the "essilessy" book & knows its about another kid who has seizures. Even if she has no idea what the rest of the information in the book means, she knows that the girl in the story has seizures, too. This book very obviously means something to her, even at such a young age, so it is well worth whatever we paid for it. I would replace it again and again at any cost for the value it has to my daughter.I recommend it for use at home or with any group up through the elementary, maybe middle school, years that a child with epilepsy belongs to. Even just for use for parents to get an idea how to explain epilepsy and living with it to others using simple language and explanations. This children's book is an excellent addition to a family's epilepsy resource library.

Great for school!
I absolutely love this book! Our 6 year old daughter has epilepsy and had a seizure on the playground at school. Grades K-5 were out on recess at the time and it truly scared all of the kids as they watched the ambulance come and get her. The principal and other staff spent the next several hours going around trying to explain to kids that she was okay etc. I bought a copy of this book for the library at her school to help kids understand and I've gotten great reviews from teachers who've said it's really helped the kids understand better

Great book for any age to read
Great book for any age to read. My son diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5. 2 months before starting kindergarten found this book and it was not only great for us to read at home but teachers loved it and now school has copy for them to keep in classroom. Perfect to help not only my son understand but his friends and caregivers as well!!!!

Great book for my daughter
This was an excellent book for my 7 year old daughter, I lent it to her Grade 2 teacher to read to the class which gave the kids a better understanding of what she goes through on a day to day basis, it was also very comforting for me to know that there are books out there made for young children, she was able to read it herself and understand that she is not alone. Brilliant!!!!!

All teachers should read this! We have all types of children on campus. We should all be aware of how to handle different situations.

A must for recently diagnosed children!
Great book. Our daughter was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and this helped explain things to her in a positive manner and an understanding way. We have read it...at her request...multiple times.
