New Balance Men's M690 Neutral Cushion Running Shoe

Fit great, light weight. Just ran 3.5 miles with them and my feet, knees, legs feel great. A little tight but they will break in and loosen up with wear. I'm happy with this purchase.

This is the second pair of M690v3 shoes that I have purchased. They are very comfortable. But, the description states that the shoes are navy/orange (what I am looking for). Instead, the coloring is charcoal grey/orange. Not a very attractive shoe and not what is advertised. I will keep them though, because they are very comfortable. If you have wide feet and have been stuffing them into a pair of nikes or adidas for years, I suggest you try a pair of these shoes.

Just clocked 400 miles on these shoes, almost completely in road running, over a 5 month period. I weigh 190 Lbs, have an average middle-age build, and run with a forefoot strike. And my gait is geared towards the minimalist style of running.Pros: very lightweight - almost makes you forget you're wearing shoes; lesser heel-toe drop than most neutral running shoes; cushion in sole absorbs most road shock; great shoe to alternate with minimalist shoes like NB's Minimus range; I have suffered from plants fasciitis in the past but did not have any recurrence of that with this shoe; available in the 4E widths that I needed. Would definitely recommend for those transitioning to a minimalist styleCons: lace material is a little silky, so lace tends to get undone unless knotted really well; does not provide as much road feedback as a minimalist shoe (but more feedback than most neutral shoes)

I have worn New Balance almost exclusively for 20+ years. These shoes run WAY small. They also lack cushioning due to only having EVA foam. I highly recommend trying to find a good deal in the 7xx or 8xx series. These aren't worth more than I paid (mid twenty dollar range) for them.How small do these run? I can by New Balance 10.5Ds in every footbed they make blindly online all day and they fit 99% of the time. In these, I ordered an 11D and would have needed an 11E or 11EE. These are SMALL and NARROW.

An unexpectedly good shoe. Cushioning is fantastic compared my last new balance shoes, 1210v2. My previous shoe had cushion, but they felt stiff. It hurt my feet after wearing them for long periods of time. I believe it was due to the thick sole, but I never consulted with an expert. For all I know it could be my feet. A friend told more expensive shoes have better support and that's why I got them. The shoes I have now are cheaper, better cushion for me, and bend easily. This is strange because I didn't buy them for any of those reasons listed. I simply wanted another pair of shoes as a backup. I've been using them for weight lifting, walking, and running. At this point, I'm not going back to the other shoes. As long as new balance doesn't discontinue this shoe, I plan to continue buying this model.

Even ordering 4E wide these shoes are still a bit narrow. This is not usually a problem. New Balance has lost a lot of points with me lately because the overall quality of their shoes has really dropped these shoes are cheaply made and you can tell when you pick them up.

I kind of expected something different, I upsized a 1/2 size, but wasn't enough. Okay I guess without socks, I can use them as deck shoes. Quality wise, they are probably NBs lower line, the price point would indicate that. I might try a half size larger for a summer deck shoe, they would work for that. Not unhappy, just not overjoyed.

An excellent sneaker, super light weight and comfortable. Just remember when ordering, go a half size larger than your normal sneaker to insure a good fit.
