Bought these for my sons wedding. We made charcuterie boards for a grazing table. Great product, highly recommend for a budget friendly event.

We really like these wood plates. They are close to the size of a piece of paper, so they aren't large, but they hold a steak very well (picture is of a 16oz 1-1/2" strip loin steak). We enjoy eating our steaks on them since they don't suck the heat out of the steak and they don't dull your steak knives. They also give you the feeling like you are eating at a steak house. With large steaks you may need to have a separate plate if you have sides like a salad or potato with the steak, but we don't mind since we don't want the steak juice mixing with other food anyway. They also have a lip on the edges so you don't have to worry about the meat juice running off the wood plate. You will want to hand wash and occasionally wipe down with oil (I use mineral oil) to keep the wood from drying out too much, which will avoid cracking in the future. This is similar to how you handle wood cutting boards. Keep in mind though, they are on the thinner side and light weight. They are not thick like a traditional wood cutting board, and cut marks from knives may show. While we enjoy using these wood plates for eating steak, we also are excited to use them for camping in the future since they are very light weight, not too big, and won't be too hot to hold onto when eating hot food unlike the traditional metal camp plates.

They look great. But when you wash them they start to wear down and the surface doesn’t feel smooth anymore.

I’d like to say that taking out the wrapper they look nice and I was happy to have them. But after being used three times, washed by and, and dried by hand. Most have already warped and no longer sit flat.
