Comfortable, Stylish, Amazing chair for the price ! And don’t be afraid of assembly!
Boy, there are a lot of positives. To begin, the chairs arrived quickly, the packaging was terrific, and there was no damage to the chairs when they arrived. The chairs seem to be nicely constructed and are very sturdy once assembled. I bought two sets of two, and the chairs all matched perfectly. I am overweight (not obese, but overweight), and these chairs are comfortable for a long visit after a meal. The seat has springs and straps for support and a foam cushion for comfort. The back is curved subtly for lumbar comfort as well. There is no way a dining chair is going to be as comfortable as a $1000 recliner or easy chair, but they are above average for a dining chair. I really wanted blue pu leather for an update to my kitchen because I am too lazy or too old to paint my lower kitchen cabinets that color. The upholstery is a nice blue color, feels nice, and cleans easily with a damp cloth. With the darker color, I can’t imagine a problem with stains. Overall, I think the chairs are very attractive, and the nailhead trim on the seat really sets them off. Each chair leg has a protective pad on the bottom, and the front 2 legs have screw-in furniture leveler glides. Now for the assembly. There were a couple of reviews that made assembly seem very hard, but it was much easier then expected to assemble the chairs. The only tool needed is the allen wrench provided. All of the nuts and bolts required for assembly are nicely organized and notated on a shrink wrapped card, along with the allen wrench and an extra of each type bolt and nut. The instructions are very clearly written, and laid out logically. In the reviews, there are misstatements or things that are simply not true made by those complaining of issues with assembly. 9 bolts are required for each chair seat (2 for each of 4 legs and 1 for the center back), and not 5 as mistakenly reported. It is hard to convince me that a hammer or mallet were useful to anyone other than they just like to “whack” things. Bolts are made to be screwed in and not hammered in. Someone even sawed off the back legs because the chair felt too pitched forward but I suspect the chair levelers which add about 1/4 inch in height were missing or fell out from the front chair legs. (Two of ours were loose in the box.) To assemble, ifc you lay the back of the chair down flat, you can set the seat bottom frame perpendicular, as shown on the instructions, and then you can line up the bolts. If you only screw the bolts in 50% of the way as instructed, you can even lift up the seat and see where each bolt goes into the back legs, and wiggle or maneuver a little while turning until it seats. It does help if there is a second person to help hold and steady, but it’s not absolutely necessary. I have put together many different types of furniture since buying my first piece of Ikea furniture 40 years ago, and these chairs were easy to put together. I also want you to know I am am 69 years old with severe arthritis, and I am a girl!I will say the wood is darker than pictured even though it is not an issue for me. Also, the way the upholstery is trimmed out underneath the chair bottom is not as nice as for a $300 dining room chair, and realistically, you cannot expect it to be for the price. These chairs were just what I was looking for. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend or buy again.Thank you!

I almost gave up
I thoroughly investigated all reviews that I could find on this product, read instructions at least three times and viewed "you tube" on assembly. I have to admit the first chair was a bear and after an hour, I turned to 2 glasses of wine and a book. I have assembled two other items in my life time. I'm not technically handy. The next morning I gave it another try. These chairs take a lot of gentle touch to get the holes lined up and the screws in. My assembly advice is read the instructions do not tightened the screws down all the way until they tell you. Also before you assemble your chair put the washers on the 4 screws and screw them down (on the backrest section) and then back them out and it will make the rest of the assembly easier or at least it did for me. The next 3 chairs were much easier once I did this procedure. The chairs look great and for the price I can handle the little cloth upholstery issues.

Solid chair, comfortable, looks good
I read all the other reviews that complained about difficulty of assembling, and I'm thinking "Lightweights, how hard can it be?" So, I got my 4 chairs today and assembled 2. Seat attaches to the back, no big problem (had to struggle a bit to make the bolts go in). But then time for the front legs -- and yeah, the holes didn't line up. Couldn't get the bolts in. I finally realized the front leg wasn't going all the way in to the slot on the seat bottom. Had to take a mallet and pound it in another 1/4" inch. Once I did that, the bolt holes lined up. The first chair took 45 minutes. 2nd one about 20 minutes, now that I know the tricks. Haven't done 3 & 4 yet.Bottom line: The chairs look great, comfortable padding, very solid. I'm pleased with the purchase. Would buy again.

Assembly
These are great chairs for the money. However. My experience with getting them assembled was very frustrating. I had extreme difficulty getting the seat attached to the back and rear legs. There’s only 5 bolts to install, two for each leg then one through the center of the seat to the frame. The four boats that go through the seat frame to the legs were a nightmare to get seated. They just wouldn’t get the threads started without a lot of maneuvering. What should have taken 15 minutes MAX to assemble each chair was taking me 30-45 minutes. Lest anybody ne think I just didn’t know what I was doing, we bought these chairs for a condo we bought at the Lake of the Ozarks, I built 3 beds, including headboards for the condo. I’m in the process of building a table for our deck. I know my way around furniture construction. I just struggled with these chairs. I can in here to look at the reviews and lots of people say assembly was a breeze! I just want to let you know that’s not the experience I had.

Beautiful and Sturdy Chairs.
Our Chairs are absolutely Beautiful. It took about 30 minutes, to put all 4 Beige Chairs together. Shipping was quick. Nicely packaged. No damage whatsoever. The tags on the side of the chair, well I carefully used an x-acto knife to get them off. Making sure, I didn't get too close to the seam of the fabric. Thank you, we love them :-)

pretty good chair
VERY GOOD DEALI shopped bang for the buck on these and am pleased. the chair is quite sturdy after assembly. WARNING: the legs must be vigorously hammered in order for the bolt holes to lineup. place the chairs upside down on a sturdy work table to facilitate assembly. use a heavy rubber hammer for best results. place all bolts loosely before tightening. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN bolts. the chair seats are rather hard and it is recommended to get pads with tie on straps. if the chair feels too pitched forward, place a 2/4 flat on the floor and mark pencil lines on both sides of back legs. saw them along the pencil lines, sand and touchup the bottoms and place felt pads. Good luck. I would buy them again.
