Very good quality oil. No shreds or bits in the bottom of the bottle. Nice spreadability. No real scent. Used it on a freshly healed scar. Clean, pure product. Worth the cost. Natural. No petroleum.

I am usually very skeptical of reviews on Amazon since I don’t think most of them are genuine. I also know how important is it to find authentic reviews when making a decision to purchase items online. So here is my review for the prickly pear seed oil by Fatima’s garden. I purchased this oil from amazon because it was the very few ones that was USDA and certified 100% natural organic by Ecocert. And the very few ones that was not over priced. The oil is produced in very small batches to preserve the beneficial properties of this incredibly nutritious oil. I have been using it for three weeks now and given my experience with facial oils in the past ( read breakouts and excessive oiliness) I was increasingly skeptical yet hopeful that this would be the one oil that would work miracles on my skin. The oil is remarkably light and absorbs into the skin instantly it is a dry oil meaning it will hydrate your skin without leaving any and I mean any greasy residue. My usual test of greasiness is to hold my iPhone against my face if the screen gets oily patches then the product has failed the non-grease test. This passed ✨😱📱. My face was moisturized but there not shiny or oily. I didn’t break out and it has made a noticeable difference in my under-eye circles they are not gone but lighter for sure. I would highly recommend purchasing this the seller is also very responsive and cooperative.

Prickly pear oil should have a characteristic pungent, nutty or vegetal smell (NOT floral or fruity). It should be yellow or green in color and it is a dry oil that absorbs quickly. A lot of prickly pear oils on the market are not what they claim, so you have to be careful. I shopped around for a long time before I stumbled on this one. I truly believe it is a high quality oil that is what it claims to be. I would definitely recommend it.

My first purchase of prickly pear seed oil was from my trip to Morocco at a women's cooperative. The product was a perfect face moisturizer for day or night. Even given the name of the product, it was not oily and was easily and quickly absorbed. It was based on that experience and high ratings that I purchased this product. I have only used the Fatima product for one day, so I don't have enough experience re: its moisturizing quality, however, it is does not absorb into my skin as easily and quickly as the product that I purchased from Morocco. Because the product leaves my face oily and greasy, I cannot use this product as a day moisturizer and can only use it at night. Hopefully, the other qualities (a review which I will add at a later date after using it in subsequent days) will outweigh the oily, greasy appearance.

I really wanted to love this product. Reviews of this product seemed to be great, so I bought it even though it’s a tad bit pricey. I honestly used it once and cannot bring myself to use it again because the smell of this oil is so overpowering and it does NOT smell good. I could handle an earthy or green/fresh smell, but honestly, this oil has an odor that reminds me of plastic or chemicals, it’s honestly a very strange smell. I cannot give a review on how well it works since I’ve only used it once, but I can say that if I ever use this again it will be added to a cream or something that can offset the odor, so I will never know how well it works on its own.

The company claims this oil should smell: "fruity, floral, sweet" and the only thing I am smelling is very NUTTY, not very pleasant. Also the consistency was very thick, and it supposed to be on the lighter side. I sent the oil back. Was it a bad batch? I am giving 3 stars based on this issue only. (p.s I previously purchased from another brand and the consistency was light and the smell was fruity, and very pleasant).
