It's exactly what I expected.

The flame effect is simply beautiful! It feels like there is a real flame inside. The look is very realistic. Even though the build quality is 4-star, I love how the light looks that I would give it 5-star.

The product wasn't in any real packaging so they arrived damaged. Both have some scratches, and one is missing it's power knob. They work well enough, but look like garbage.

I've been using this lantern nearly every day for almost two years now, and I can easily recommend it. It may just be a cheap fake lantern, but for only twenty bucks, it offers a fantastic value. I use it every night to help me relax—it's the last source of light I extinguish before getting in bed.Positives:+ Artificial flame effect is simple but convincing+ Frosted glass and antique design look nice+ Can easily go many months on a single set of batteries+ The handle makes it easy to hang/carryNegatives:- No timer- Black paint has worn off in multiple places- Too dim to read by- The dimmer dial has gotten progressively more finicky- Occasionally turns itself off (when batteries are running low)
