Love this! Really good to be able to throw things in the bin without having to touch it. The base is sturdy. The lid is probably the weakest part, could easily be broken as the hinges are a bit flimsy. It’s easy to empty. The batteries last a long time. It’s not so easy to keep the rim clean but the base wipes down well. It’s very sensitive and opens if you just walk past so best stored somewhere out of the way! Wouldn’t want to go back to a manual bin now. Definitely recommend this product.

Got my bin a few weeks now and it working beautifully, no complaint

I had an earlier model of Morphy Richards bin, with sensor, I had it for years, until I accidently banged the top with something. So had to get another one. The new one is nowhere as good as my last one. They have gone backwards in it's design, this one you cannot see the lights on the front because they are not on the top, unless your'e 3 foot tall. It doesn't always open when you want it to. there's no switch to press to keep the lid open for longer, when you have more stuff to put in it, like my older version. It is definately not worth the money. I can imagine tempers flaring in a busy kitchen, when trying to use it! It was actually slightly mishaped when I took it out of its box, the seam at the back wasn't flat! There is nothing good I can say about it, except to( Morphy Richards What the heck have you done with the previous design?!) I will be looking for another better modal, a different brand, that's for sure!

Overall bin was very good and 50L good capacity. Automatic bin lid didn’t even last for 1 year and stopped working. Replacement bin lid is costing nearly £33. No spare motor for infrared is available so far.

I have had this product just over a year before a fault with the sensors. The lid does not open now and so basically a useless item you have to pry the lid up to use.I contacted Morphy Richards on a number of occasions who forward me to the supplier of this item (basically they stick the Morphy Richards name on it) I have contacted the company many times now in 8 months and 8+ emails, and still have a faulty bin no warranty replacement, and I'm now being ignored!I don't recommend this product as any type of moisture in the bin will ruin the electionics, it's not water resistant. One email stated any moisture in the bin will damage it, ???? It's a bin some things you place in a bin will have moisture! Unbelievable, also the process to report a warranty claim is made a difficult as possible ( probably hoping you'll give up trying)In my experience now with Morphy Richards I will not buy another product of there's, and I do own a few items.Morphy Richards/Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances/ RKW the company who manufacturer the bin and who cover all warranty's! ( but do not seem to care ) be prepared to deal with all these!Nothing in reply from this RKW at all!!

It worked great until it broke. I am a little handy so opened it to see the problem. The bin lid is hunged open with a plastic bespoke part. All other parts under pressure are metal , only 1 part is plastic and it is right on the crang arm. Clearly a design flaw built in so we buy more. So my automatic bin does not open anymore and it is fine in every other way. 24 months ownership for a bin is crazy. My other bins have lasted 10 years or more.

Optisch ein Hingucker! Es ist wirklich schwer einen offen in der Küche stehenden Mülleimer zu finden. Dieser war ein Volltreffer. Da er nicht aus Kunststoff ist, sieht er hochwertig aus. Der Sensormechanismus funktioniert sehr gut. Das Fassungsvermögen ist ausreichend.
