The Movie Collectible Ken Doll Wearing Big Faux Fur Coat and Black Fringe Vest with Bandana

I pre-ordered this Ken doll and waited six months, but oh, was it worth it. From the dramatic faux fur coat to the perfectly styled hair (yes, actual HAIR on a Ken doll — finally!), this figure is a total standout. The outfit is detailed, removable, and straight out of the movie, down to the fringe vest and bandana. It even comes with a stand, which makes it ideal for display. As a collector, I can say this is one of the most unique and memorable Kens I own. He’s not just Ken. He’s collector-grade Ken.

Ken is absolutely gorgeous in his dramatic faux fur mink coat. The best buy ever! I am in two minds should this rebel rocker come out of the box or just stay in this lovely high quality box. They really thought of of the box with the design of the box with the Barbie logo crossed out with a marker and KEN in Metallica font written over the logo. Ken on his best day and his power trip, absolutely a must have. He is 13 inches tall, and articulated. Cant wait to see the inside of the coat and the super cool shoes as well.

I am so excited to receive this doll. I ordered him so long ago and he's totally worth the higher price point. His outfit is meticulously detailed with most of the items he wears in the movie. I do wish that he had a multitude of watches and a couple pairs of sunglasses (always two in case Barbie needs a pair). But I am delighted with the horse print lining on the Mojo Fauxjo Mink and the soft fluffiness of the fur. The pleather fringe vest is well made and Ken's horse bling necklace is so cute. I love the lightning details on his headband and sweatpants, his fanny pack and sneakers and fingerless gloves so much. He is beautifully packaged in a display box that has a shiny background and fun raised lighting bolts and 80s metal band Ken logo on the sides of the box. To say I love him is an understatement. He truly is Kenough but I can't get Kenough of him. 🩷

This Ken is fabulous. I got him on sale, because while I love his design 75 dollars was not it. He came packaged well and he was not damaged. He has been a great addition to my collection.

First and foremost, I’m not one to commonly write reviews but given how I’m the first U.S. reviewer (at the time of writing) I feel it is my duty to share my experience and help anyone considering getting a collectible Ken of their own! This doll was set to release on January 31, 2024, yet to my surprise it was shipped and delivered today, January 11, 2024. Having been preordered for months, I was beyond excited to finally have my hands on my own “Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken”. Upon opening the standard Amazon labeled shipping box, I was welcomed by an additional manufacturer box with the Mattel serial number and factory seal, confirming the doll was both authentic and shipped with an extra layer of support. Unfortunately, my expectations of a perfect display case was short lived after removing a thin white layer of wrapping paper that surrounded the actual doll box. A few dents and scratches were visible on the back of the display case which I did not imagine would be the case given the double layer of protection it had been shipped in. Packaging issues aside, the doll’s unopened display had a small personal issue for me as well. Ken’s fringe vest which includes a front and back assortment of small leather straps was sprawled haphazardly across his chest covering his necklace and coat, making for a slightly messy presentation in-box you cannot fix unless without taking out the scissors. I felt at this point that both the slightly damaged doll case and the messy presentation of the doll itself begged for an out-of-box display (which was not my initial plan). The doll itself is stunning, from the mold, detailing, and fabric to the overall quality of the film’s costume design. With all that in mind, if you intend to purchase this doll for the sole purpose of putting it on display with its included stand, I highly recommend you go for it! It’s certainly worth the current $80 USD price tag. If you are a collector who intends to leave this doll in its display case, be warned you may receive a doll case with dents or scratches that seem to be a direct result of Mattel’s direct manufacturing process. I have chosen to keep the doll despite a few disappointing features as the out-of box display truly makes up for it in my opinion.

Llegó en un simple sobre de papel y eso me asustó mucho,ya que el estado de la caja exterior también es muy importante para los coleccionistas.Sin embargo venía dentro de su caja original de fábrica,es decir,la de cartón rígido de Mattel que lo protege totalmente. Así que llegó en perfectas condiciones,estoy súper contenta,lo conseguí por 60€,me parece un precio muy bueno,estaba deseando tenerlo.

Questo Ken è stupendo, ogni dettaglio è perfetto, dalla scatola alla pelliccia, al ciondolo e alla bandana. Un ottimo acquisto, secondo me è il Ken più bello di tutta la serie Barbie The Movie. Consigliatissimo.
