NECA God of War (2018) - 7" Scale Action Figure - Kratos

First of all the item arrived WAY ahead of schedule so thank you NECA Toys for that! As for the figure itself...outstanding! The level of detail and paint application on Kratos and the props is superb. From the Leviathan Axe to the shield, both over and under, to the dagger and armor. I'm super impressed at how great it all looks.The packaging is a nice window box and per NECA's recent releases, you can take out the inner sleeve art and use it as a quick and nice backdrop for the figure - in this case it's actually the video game's cover art minus Kratos and his son, Atreus, obviously.The figure has 36 points of articulation which are solid and not loose. Kratos has a great center of gravity and feels solid so he's able to stand freely without any extra support, both with and without the axe.Accessories include the Leviathan Axe, dagger and shield. The axe can be separated at the middle of the handle making it easy to display in the hand of Kratos. He also has a sheath on his belt where the dagger fits perfectly. For the shield it has a peg on the underside that slots onto Kratos left arm by removing the middle plate steel on his wrist gauntlet.The only issue relating to my figure was the right arm at the elbow joint is awfully stiff to the point that applying too much pressure to move it and I'm scared it might break...This figure is a 5 Star piece no question and arguably one of NECA'S best when it comes to sculpt, paint application and the level of detail. I can't recommend it enough!!

This is an amazingly crafted 7 inch Kratos that only gets cooler the further you get in the game. As you learn the story of Kratos and Atreus this just keeps taking on more meaning. Terrific color scheme, accurate to the game and perfectly painted and renedered. He actually balances thanks to many leg articulations. The shield has nowhere to call home on his back but that isn't how he carries it in the game anyway.Thanks NECA quality work and the plastic isn't even horrendously stinky. The only thing that would have made this better is Atreus being available or included. Actually worth the retail.

The figure is well sculpted and comes with a shield, dagger, and axe from the game. The figure is a bit stiff in the joints but after some use, it loosens up a bit. This figure is definitely a keeper and one I am proud to own but it does have some problems. The first problem is the axe. To make Kratos hold the axe, you must separate it into two pieces but once you do that, the axe will continuously separate when you don't want it to. I ended up super-gluing the pieces together so the axe doesn't separate but now, to make Kratos hold the axe, I have to pry his very stiff fingers open. The next problem is the shield. The shield simply does not want to fit into his gauntlet correctly so I gave up on it entirely. The last problem is his stance. Kratos CAN stand up on his own with no support but any minor bumps will make him fall and it's super annoying. These flaws ARE VERY MINOR and more like nitpiks from me. I really like this figure and is very much worth it.

I saw this figure on shelves for months. As a fan of the series, i thought a Kratos figure would be neat, but i wasn't in love with this particular figure. I was so wrong. But this figure, and get him out of that box. Solid articualtion, excellent head sculp, stellar attention to detail. It's more than i could have hoped for from a Kratos figure, capturing an amazing likeness to his most recent outing. If you like God of War, and action figures, you owe it to yourself to puck him up.

This figure is just ridiculous. The high-level attention to detail, the painting, the packaging, the price... just how is it so cheap?! I have figures that range from $8 to $30 because I just started collecting, but God oh God, this Kratos tops everything in my shelves. I have all the other ones posing and looking nice, but I don't want to open up my Kratos because it's that nice. I just saw a deal that they had it for $16?! $16?! This figure is worth hundreds of dollars!

I have seen copies of this figure that look amazing...and then there is mine. The paint applications on my copy are beyond terrible, especially in his face. The joints are also way too loose to hold any decent pose and the shield just refuses to stay without superglue, which I am not going to waste on a figure as ugly as this. As awesome as this figure is by concept, NECA's quality control has a lot to be desired and that is coming from a big fan and collector of their ultimate predator line. You need to do better, NECA.
