Hi. I wear mine at home. Unfortunately I'm riddled with arthritis so have to keep my legs warm and these are ideal. They fit me perfectly as I'm 6ft tall. Usually when I buy leggings they finish under my knees but these are plenty long enough. As to your size the s-m size might be a bit big for you, but I suppose you could get one pair and see if they're okay for you. Hope this helps.

They are thicker than tights and come up above the waist. They are a lovely soft stretchy fabric
