I Was STUPID and Took It Down - Then Things Went SOUTH
My parents had hot tubs, my sister too. They seems a huge waste and PITA. We are on a farm, and the idea seemed a bit tempting, and we had toyed with the idea of an inflatable one for when summer work was hard and our muscles quite sore. certainly would take it down in the winter, it wouldn't be needed.WELL, we began to build a house June 2024. And work was TOUGHER on our muscles. I do YouTube for a living and Relxtime reached out to me regarding their tubs - channel name under "This1lifewelive" or "wtfarmgirl" I have a full video on our tub.I figured it was a good time to see if inflatable was worth it (you know, popping, chinese garbage and such it's a risk right?).Set-up was a breeze, albeit I threw my back out trying to drag it as the thing is SO HEAVY. Also we have hard water. VERY HARD. So I followed my friend's advice and made a BUCKET FILTER. It's in the video too. DO IT. better and cheaper than other filters for iron.ALSO buy 2 sets of filters. In case you didn't catch all the iron and filter is ruined from it. Also makes cleaning easier as you just swap and bring dirty one in to clean.I bought a tiny pool float and put 2 chlorine tabs in and set it to barely open. kept it PERFECT all summer/fall.We'd pop into it on the weekend for a light soak and when our muscles were screaming. It was PERFECT.UNTIL IT WASN'T. The company had recommended I don't run it below 40 degrees, both due to water not heating well and lower temps possibly freezing it.I didn't want to. But my husband insisted. SO I TOOK IT DOWN.And that's when I almost d1ed. Right after, I got sick with that respiratory virus and coughed my brains out for TWO MONTHS. Between that and hanging 10,000sqft of drywall in our house, my back was WRECKED.I couldn't move. I couldn't function. Baths were no use. I NEEDED MY HOTUB. I was getting worse, not better. Finally this week we had a thaw of 40 degrees. I dragged my crippled self to the barn and hauled out my tub. Upon inflating, I found it had a large hole. I bought a sticky patch repair kit from Amazon and slapped it on, praying it would work. SURE DID.I also bought an inflatable hottub cover. BEST THING EVER. The tub instantly began heating back up FASTER than even summertime.I even pumped hot water from my bathtub INTO the hottub outside to try to jump start the heating process because it is SLOW.I also added a submersable heater with a temp control on it. I checked it and it's at 86 after 2 days despite the hose water being 35 and night temps at 20.BE AWARE - with ANY of the portable tubs the heaters are very minimal and not powerful like the big boys. They also tend to wear out faster. Amazon sells a drop in heater unit with a thermostat you can toss in (must remove before entering) if your heater kicks the bucket.I PAID $150 for a massage trying to fix my back. Didn't work. I was looking at hitting the chiro (first time ever) for a whopping $250 HOPING it would work.BUY THE TUB. Just do it. if you face the possibility of sore muscles, do yourself a favor and get it.With that said, it's not very large, two adults is comfortable. You could fit 4 I guess but everyone would have toes in awkward places. Square might be better for that.As for me, I will limp this along as far as possible and replace when I can no longer limp it. $400, you could blow that on two nights in a decent hotel. Plus other companies make SEATS that go inside them too!I'm trying to get the heat up to 104 as fast as possible before my chiro appt. so I can fix things and cancel my appointment. I HATE running through snow from tub to house. But I will brave a fall on ice to keep my muscles happy and my body functioning.PS- Water in photo was murkey from trying to use a hose filter. I drained it and re-filled using bucket method. Alternatively you could use a pump to pump out of tub and into bucket too rather than draining and re-filling.

Doesnât heat up or hold heat
Wasted money on this product. It doesnât stay warm or even get past 79 degrees. I even moved it into my garage thought maybe that would help. Also, doesnât stay clean literally have to drain and scrub it every time I want to get in it. More work than itâs worth. Very disappointed.

DISPOSABLE HOTTUB
MINE worked great for a few months. Heating element burned out in no time. What a waste. Totally disposable garbage. on the brightside it does stay inflated better than other brands.

Customer Service was Excellent!
Although the heater stopped working after 3mo, I am wanting to comment on the great customer service I received.First the bladder was to small. They sent me a new bladder to fit. When the heater died, they sent a new heater/pump unit. When a leak followed, they refunded the entire amount I paid. They were curtious, prompt, and always worked to relieve any and all the problems I experienced with the hot tub.Even though that tub did not work out, I can't say enough how wonderful their customer service is!So much that I have ordered a different hot tub from them, expected to arrive Nov 4th.Thank you Realxtime Customer Service!
