Friis Holm Dark Blend La Dalia (The Lazy Cocoa Grower) 100%

This is not your typical store bought dark chocolate bar. It is not sweet and yet still probably one of the best chocolates I have ever had, (I prefer some sweetness). It is funny how I did not like it at first bite but it became an acquired taste that grew on me and it has left me craving more. It has a really good balance of acidity and boldness. I found this brand when I was looking for valentines chocolates and although this is not what I was looking for, one of the search results said this was one of the best in the world and that it had recently won many awards - somewhere. It was enough to entice me to try it. I found it here and at $21 for the bar, it's not a habit I can sustain, but once to try it - was ok. It is worth the money I just wish I had enough to buy more. I did come looking for a sweeter version of this specific brand, but did not find any here on Amazon... (can you believe that?)

The product seems to be of good quality but not worth the price. I expected chocolate that could be enjoyed as a treat but this is unsweetened chocolate which we ended up using for cooking. Definitely not worth the price, regardless of its reputation.

Absolutely delicious. It's so smooth as well!
