This pump has very good power - it pumps a good supply of air through my under gravel filter risers - which the last 2 pumps of other brands could not do. It is amazing quiet. I have had it for about 3 months and still runs like new - still just as quiet as the first day. I have not used the air stones yet - but they look like really nice stones. And the tubing was high quality - I would like to buy more tubing like this.

While I'm returning this for reasons unrelated to any issues, I thought I'd leave a relevant review. 1. The pump is very quiet on the low setting, which is the setting I used because it's powerful! On the low setting the sound it gives us mostly just a humming. Many things hum in my home! It's noisier as you increase the setting. But if you have a 10 gallon tank the low setting is more than plenty! 2. Again, on the low setting only, the bubbles just sound like I'm boiling water all day! Makes me think of spaghetti more! (Haha!). 3. I cannot comment on using the water backflow valve or splitters as I haven't used them. The only negative is that if you need to turn it off you need to unplug it from the outlet. But maybe that's not the worst thing because if you need to handle the pump you may put yourself at risk if you accidentally drop it in the water. Having to unplug it takes care of that problem since turning a switch off a power strip instead may not work.

I’ve only used this pump for a short while but was very happy with it. I really like that it’s adjustable and it is pretty quiet. Of course, I kept it dialed down to the lowest air flow so I suppose it might be a little bit louder if it were turned up higher. One comment, I did have a lot of trouble getting the air hose on and off the pump and the air stone. Once I attached the tubing to the pump and the stone, it was almost impossible to pull back off again. I don’t know if it was something I was doing?? Also, it should be noted that the air stone it comes with is a bit large. My guppies seemed to like it and would swim back and forth through the bubbles. However, I had to switch the tank to house a Betta and I had to stop using the air stone. Betta fish are not strong swimmers and prefer calmer water. Consequently, they should not have an air stone in their tank. Especially a small tank like a 5 gallon (smallest tank a Betta should be kept in). Even though I am not currently using this air pump I still decided to keep it because I like it and will use it on another tank in the future. I do highly recommend it.

The product appears and feels to have good quality, but sadly I can't say the same about the functionality. The pump barely puts out any air, I can't feel any air flow from it at all when I was just testing it out in the open; and even in the water it barely made any bubbles. It might as well be a $14 paper weight, I highly recommend buying a different product and saving yourself the time and money only to be disappointed.

Great Aerator for my fish tank! This aerator with a little stone rock is perfect for my 20 gallon fish tank. It can be used in even a 5 gallon tank and also in larger tanks. It is very reasonably priced and just as good as the more expensive aerators I have bought, and it makes less noise. You can also dial up or down the level of the bubbles, which is great and I cannot do on my more expensive aerators I will be purchasing this aerator again for my fish tanks. Highly recommend!

Very cool & works as advertised, quite and is a cool addition to my 10gal aquarium.
