What kind of wood is it? it is fsc certified?

I seem to remember it's sourced in Poland, but there was no mention of its eco status on the label. Perhaps contact the distributor, as they say it's eco-friendly but don't say why (other than it being wood, I guess). One thing I've noticed is it doesn't warp or absorb water and I've had mine for 7 years. Still as good as new.
