Cheap thin plastic threads do not hold on my Optimax.
the item falls out, plastic so thin that there is no hold. Again, do not buy. Would not use or work even for free. Do not buy for your Optimax.

A must-have for outboard flushing
I had another one of these that lasted 6 years. These don't last forever, plan to replace it every 5 years. For the value they bring and the cost of boat parts, this is a very minor investment that saves so much time and effort. My only complaint is that the hose side connector is rather stiff and difficult to connect. Maybe it will become easier with use, I didn't experience this with my previous kit.

Dry verses actual wet
Love the color first one didn’t even stay together dry fitting. The second one seems to dry fit well. I’ll actually try it tomorrow. So far so good.

The concept is great, but the execution horrible.
This product simply didn't work. I placed the adapter with the female disconnect into each of my twin Suzuki engines. With the engines running, both plugs spit small amounts of water out of the nipple that was supposed to remain closed. I doubt this would cause issues with the engine overheating, but it was annoying. I then shut the engines down and connected my hose fitted with the female adapters onto the male adapter. It was pretty straightforward and very simple to do. I then applied pressure to the hose and both plugs immediately popped partially out. In this position, the valves closed and no water flowed into the engines. I tried several times and got the same result each time. I then turned the pressure to the hose all the way down, connected the plug and began applying pressure. I was able to get a very small amount of pressure before they popped off. This was clearly not enough pressure to flush the engine and suddenly became way too much effort. I went back to the original method and will be returning both items. I doubt the items I received were defective, since they both performed exactly the same way. I believe it was just a bad design. Of course I am very disappointed with this product.
