Brought the book for my daughter, she was delighted with it. Beautifully presented book that my daughter will treasure.

Exactly what I was looking for! Beware, though, this edition does not come with illustrations - as barnes & noble fairy tale collections usually do. A small price to pay, if we are to consider that, this allows to give more space to the stories themselves. And if anything this collection seems very inclusive! So far, I prefer these tales to those of the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Andersen. Then again, this most likely has to do with personal preferences. If you like fairies, gnomes, witches, fairy doctors, giants, pranks and ghosts, look no further! Here is a reference list, just to know from where this collection derives its content:

A Treasure!

My 12-year old (Irish) nephew was really drawn into this book, I was surprised how well he took to it. Reading is not his strong suit, and yet, these stories and poems compelled him to keep going.

Honestly ever since watching American gods and even before that I wanted to learn about the lore. I honestly love the book the quality is amazing and it's written easily enough to read as well.

I absolutely love this book! Leather bound, got nice art in the inner sleeve, gold edges, text spacing is good. Can highly recommend this one!

Sehr gern lese ich über die altbekannten Sagen aus England und Umgebung. Schön an diesem Band ist, dass viele mir unbekannte Geschichten präsentiert wurden. Die Geschichten sind nach dem Inhalt geordnet, spezifisch hier bestimmten Fabelwesen. So kann je nach Lust und Laune in bestimmte Bereiche der Sagenwelt eingetaucht werden. Die Aufmachung des Hardcover-Buches ist sehr elegant und verfügt sogar über einen Goldschnitt. Unglaublich tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für die gebotene Qualität eines (Kunst-)Leder Buches mit integriertem Lesezeichen und edler Gestaltung. Für einen jeden interessierten an englischen Geschichten im Original ist der Band ein Muss!

Um compilado do folclore irlandes, com grande acerso de histórias de fadas "a moda antiga" (não fadas boazinhas daquelas cunhadas por Disney ou livros infantis, mas do folclore popular antigo, que lhe atribuía características boas mas tbm ruins, personalidades as vezes caprichosas e maldosas).Vale ressaltar que é um compilado de contos do povo e múltiplos autores irlandeses. Não é um livro de "um autor".No mínimo, uma leitura muito interessante! Mas pra um quem gosto de fantasia, é muito mais que isso! Super recomendo!
