Mine is on a deck and there is no danger to use it there. I do recommend a grease trap cup or something as you won't want the grease from cooking on your decking

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

I purchased this for my husbands birthday for us to open it on the day with no bbq inside. It had obviously been returned by someone else as parts were missing - screws, bolts, and the actual bbq itself!Empty food wrappers were in the box too. Absolutely disgusting!
