I have a ragdoll cat and I was only using a slicker brush and I got very little hair off her. I thought wow she must not shed that much. But I kept finding hair on my clothes when she lay on me. I bought this thinking there wouldn't be much hair but oh wow! So much hair came off. Her hair is smooth and soft now. No knots or mats. The brush looked cruel and sharp in the images. I was so worried but she was fine. It can pull if there's knots so just be gentle. For long haired cats I highly recommend this as well as a slicker brush. There are two sides to it, wider and finer. I used both sides on her but I started with the wider then when I felt there were no knots I switched to the finer. If you're struggling to brush your pet with them, first play with them loads. Exhaust them. Then when they just can't stay awake any longer, then start by stroking them until they drift off and then gently brush. Then give them treats after for being so good.

Thought I’d try this as my cocker’s coat seemed very thick despite taking her to groomers less than 3 weeks ago and brushing her myself with various grooming brushes. Arrived today and I set straight to it looking to return it if it was hopeless but far from hopeless the thing is fantastic!!! I cannot believe the amount of hair that has come off the dog when you think she’s been nicely groomed(just what did they actually do ??!) and then brushed by me especially at this time of year when her coat is a seed magnet! The piccy shows what came off her ! That’s 25gr of hair(it’s really soft and lovely). I’d have to totally recommend this for non short haired dogs like wickeewoo or Cocker Spaniels. Super pleased with this purchase. An instant invaluable tool for dog care. It’s easy to use and should be fine against the dog’s skin.

I bought this for my long haired cats . My personal opinion , and the cats , is it’s a little harsh for them ( maybe they are just to whimpy) Goodfor dogs , works really well on getting out the fur .

I have 2 persians and 1 short-haired. I've always used the normal brushes and it's always been a struggle for both ends. Used this today and it's genuinely AMAZING. No yanking at all and so much came off my persians. Worked as well on my short haired. Wish I knew about this years ago

Alaskan Malamute and a Siberian Husky both with undercoats. This is easy and very effective. Don’t be deceived by the blades as they are not sharp at all and are not supposed to be they just look it.

Absolutely excellent for deshedding my long haired German shepherd. Iv two other brushs that stated that help with shedding but neither of them are as good as this one. Will definitely buy again.
