Great item for what it is-But not a replacement for a prescribed dropfoot brace.

I ordered a larger size after reading reviews stating it ran too small. Now it’s too big and absolutely useless to try to get inside my shoes.

I think this is a good product except I don’t have much feeling on my left calf and the product cut into my skin that I didn’t know about. I think if I were to wear it again, I would put some kind of foam padding wherever the ends touch your calves.

I've tried several other Chinese braces. Every single one did its job (preventing foot drop), but they weren't very comfortable. I knew it was there each step I took, and couldn't wait to get home to take it off. I ordered this one and couldn't believe how good it feels compared to the others. In fact, it doesn't take too long to forget it's there. I only use the top strap and have never tried the mid-shin strap as I don't think it's necessary. To those who say that it doesn't last too long, what do you expect for a $35 brace. I could buy one of these every month for several years before I spend as much as ONE from my local orthopedics place.

This Chinese-made orthotic did for me what the US of America Medicare system failed miserably at- It enabled me to walk while experiencing a reduced fall-risk. Medicare provided braces that broke under normal use, after 18 months, but M/C refused to repair them. A provider made a new set, which had structural features that put me so far off balance that using them was dangerous. And M/C refused to pay for them. Enter Amazon and its catalog of Chinese foot-drop prevention products. For 50 bucks and a 3-day wait, I received a pair of these, and folks, they work as well or better than the professional ones. And if one breaks, thirty bucks and a 3-day wait will have me back walking. Why the medium stars? There are no instructions for customizing the material for an individual fit and no cushion material to protect your skin from being rubbed raw. But they are way ahead of the USA's health scare system's response. And just btw, the mods for skin-comfort are simple and the materials are not expensive.

Bought the brace for my mother to use for her drop foot. Brace did not come with any instructions on how to use the extra straps. Brace was so big and bulky it did not sit down into my mother's shoe. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody, but if you are going to buy this brace I would make sure that I have shoes that are a little bit bigger than what you normally wear, especially on the foot that you're going to have the brace on.

I have a rare spinal cord disorder called syringomyelia, besides pain and numbness it caused foot drop in my left foot. I have had braces custom made before, they were expensive even with some of its costs covered by insurance.I haven't worn one in quite some time so I decided to purchase one already formed, I wasn't sure how it would fit, not being made for me personally but I thought I'd try.I was very pleasantly surprised when it fit as well as it did, I'm a big guy with a size 16 shoe size, so I was a bit concerned, but it fit well, and the extra straps helped keep everything in place.I would recommend this brace to others.Jeffrey.
