Keeps the squirrels away
Mammals can sense spicy hot foods. Birds cannot. After watching the squirrels empty my bird feeder in one day, I got this. One taste, and the squirrels left it alone. It's kind of pricy, so once I used one feeder full, I mixed it half & half with less expensive bird food with the same results. Apparently, squirrels are pretty smart critters & learn quickly

Squirrels don't eat it
It's pricey. But I spend a lot on bird seed and that's my choice; but if I spend less because what I buy lasts longer that's great! It's great.

Keeps the squirrels away
Love that the squirrels have stopped invading and destroying my bird feeders.. unfortunately it has shells on some seeds and leaves a bit of a mess. Easy enough to clean up but still have to clean up weekely

Birds love it...squirrel hate it!
The media could not be loaded. Great birdseed for our smart feeder. I've only seen a squirrel at it after we have had heavy rains. Which I'm assuming waters down the "hot". Otherwise it takes us approx. 4 months to go through this 5lb bag which if this was our previous seed it would have been gone in 2 weeks. I have a smart birdfeeder so I know the activity is frequent to the feeder. All the birds seem to love it! Especially the cardinals! I recommend this Hot birdseed! Haven't tried any others but am happy with this!

Wow...surprised this worked honestly
We have a single bird feeder and the squirrel(s) were gorging themselves with seed. It got to the point that they could empty the feeder in just over one day! I filled the feeder on Monday with this seed about 1/3 and then mixed the rest with my regular seed and filled the rest of the feeder. Its been 2 days and the feeder is still almost full. The first few times the squirrel would come to the feeder you could see their confusion and they would leave promptly. Now they might have a couple of bites before they give up. I am ok with them having a little snack, was just trying to avoid having to refill seed daily. Will update the review as we go, but so far, I'm a believer.
