It has been many years since I’ve had a punching bag, but I sure did miss it. I came across this bag here on Amazon and it checked all my requirements. 1. Vinyl (it’s good quality) 2. Well made 3. Compact but sturdy 4. Bottom hook loop or attachment for a weight to keep it steady. 5. Empty. I know that many people fill these with clothes, but I chose to go another route. We recently replaced our old foam mattress, so I opted to use that as my stuffing. If you have ever tried work f with foam, you will find that it can be frustrating. But don’t fret. Here is my suggestion: I cut the mattress close to the height of the bag…leave some space…trust me 😉 If you take the perimeter of the bag, that way you can cut the mattress in one strip of LxW for the bag. I also rolled the mattress and taped the ends to help kept the cylinder shape. I cut one end at an angle as to avoid having a weird “bump” when rolled. Next, I placed to large bag at each end to envelop the mattress and I taped the center of the bags together to create a seal. Once I had that done…from one side, I made a small hole and put my shop vac hose and sucked all the air out. Once I did that, it make it very easy to place the shriveled mattress in the empty cavity of the bag! Once it was I inside, I turned off the vacuum and poked a couple holes at the top of the black trash bags (so it can expand) I then Filled the top couple of inches with leftover foam and …voila! A filled bag that is light and manageable to move! The top has a layer of material to close it like a laundry bag and then I zipped it closed. Because the foam is from a sleep mattress, it is very dense, so hitting it is stiff enough to simulate a belly😀🤣 and can take a good kick or two! I was very happy with my purchase!

for somebody want to do a workout and practice on your kicks on his whatever you do that's quality is very well on this bag and we did the clothes and sand in the bag held up very well and it's been pretty good test

Wow, I was really impressed with the size and weight of this bag, for the price. The vinyl is nice and thick. I stuffed it full of two bags of old clothes and it is pretty stout. Once they settle in I'll add some more as needed. I'm still waiting for the hardware to hang it, but just hitting it propped up against the wall, I was surprised at how well the clothes worked as a filling. SO much better than what you get for this price at a big sporting goods store.

I lined mine with 2" dense foam, then put a water dam tube in the center. It is about 90 lbs of water. So, its a water bag with foam lining. I did this cause I lift weights and do arm wrestling training, so my joints already take a beating. The foam and water fill makes it easier on my joints, but it still provides the weight and solid impact. The straps are strong, the bag is durable, and the impact feedback is nice. Id recommend. I use to box competitively, and this is as good as any bag ive owned or hit at the boxing gym. If you want to build your own bag, this is a great choice. I only wish I could adjust the straps the way you can with a chain, but I just tied them up to where it hangs higher. This wont be a problem for most...mine just hangs lower because I used a shock absorbing spring that is 6 inches long, so that makes the bag hang lower than it naturally would.

Great price and is really solid as well as pretty simple to set up. The bag can hold a decent amount of weight up to 100lbs but personally I have it at 55lbs. The logo and design is simple and clean and definitely has a nice aesthetic for bagwork!

Found a better deal on Everlast punching bag pre filled , saved time and energy by not having to fill this one so it went back without opening the box. Everlast was cheaper as I did not have to buy filler foam

Pros: The material and the stitching seem sturdy. It has a ring on the bottom allowing you to attach it to a weight on the floor via any sort of bungee cord. This keeps it from swinging around too wildly. Con: It's takes a LOT of material to fill this. I used a combination of rags and memory foam from an old mattress. Took me two days to pack it in tightly. It's a bit on the light side... I should have used more rags, less foam but it works for my purposes.

I would not recommend filling with sand...use old rags, cardboard etc. That kind of stuff

Good bag and material. I filled it with blankets and clothes I don't wear. I mounted it on my power tower. The harness at the bottom is a nice edition. I used 100lbs plates and heavy duty carbiners at the bottom to keep the bag secure.
