Eco Friendly Fuel

Used for pizza oven.Started on a bed of charcoal (kindling + hardwood) lit in minutes almost smokeless it went from 150 to 370 in > 30 mins heat output is amazing very difficult to achieve the same with hard wood only + it will take hours and a lot of smoke.Used 2.5 logs initially + 1.5 after 2 hours so total of 4 for 13 pizzas.Do not last long as advertised but I also think that all depends on the amount of oxygen you allow in and for what you use them for.For example if you use them with a stove where you can easily regulate the air inlets I bet they last longer as you can control the amount of air you let in via the inlets (even close them) as well as you can regulate the top inlets so in other words keep the flame to a min and maximize the heat output .With a pizza oven is more difficult as the door is almost always open ( so a lot of air in ) as well as the top flu as you want flame on at all times to cook the pizzas so the logs will burn quickly..Overall a good product definitively recommended.

A trial for our wood burner - these were big boys! They did burn well and for a long time. They smell like wood unlike some others I have trialled. They are the most expensive I’ve tried but so far the best. As they burn they separate into rings which means they can be moved about the stove floor.

Bought these for my 8kw multifuel burner, they are heavy, easy to light and give of an amazing heat. Easily last longer than hardwood firewood, and with added smokeless coal, for a good 3hours worth of heat, I have since added a normal log and some more coal, and now its lovely and toasty easily heats all the downstairs floors pace, and up the stairs. Will order some more as that impressed

these Normandy Beech Briquettes smoked badly if kept quite large in the chimnea, but once broken down into 4 cm sections they flamed very nicely but also very quickly, if there was smoke I would put more dry kindling to increase the heat which stopped the smoking. I used a hammer and chisel to break the briquettes into chunks. I won't be buying these again as they didn't last long enough.

I have tried a wide range of logs in my pizza oven and these Normandy Beech briquettes burn the hottest of all. They are not the cheapest, but you certainly get bang for your buck. I usually warm the oven up with another (cheaper) type of log and use these to boost the oven temperature well into the 400s (C). Clean burning and almost smokeless once alight, they are superb.

I never complain about an item and if ever which is rare, just request a refund, however am compelled to do so for this product. This was horrendous!!!!. The smoke generated from the one briquette was disgusting, I had to be put out with water and even then took a while to cease. Had to apologies to the neighbours as they also had to endure the smell. Clothes immediately needed washing. Whether this was one bad briquette in the box, I can’t say. So returning both boxes for a refund. The photos were taken Just after the briquette had finally started to char and prior to hosing the entire chimenea for at least 10 minutes before the smoke dissipated. Spoilt a lovely evening in the Garden-until that point.Maybe they work better on other fires/pits/Ovens otherwise it’s incredulous how they are sold.

best briquttes I have tried. Burn steadily with very good heat. I find them quite hard to divide up, but this does mean they do not crumble away in the package. Lovely smell, very little smoke at all, clean to handle. Beautifully packed. Only gripe is that each box is very heavy, every delivery person found them scary to carry! I can not move box at all. But lovely product.

I bought these brickets along with some coffee logs to burn on my Stovax wood burner. I liked the idea of longer logs and long lasting recycled fuel. The logs arrived on time , packaged well and intact. They burn nicely on my fire and chuck out a lot of heat. As they burn they sort of break up into slices which is fine. Despite turning my air intake to the lowest they burned away completely in about 80 minutes. This may be due to the ferocity of my fire and not the logs., hard to say. I would buy them again if the price was right.
