I chose these pencils because they are much easier to work with - if you have arthritic hands it is sometimes a problem writing with skinny pencils, thee are easier to hold.I also bought them to share with a relative who has a similar problem. These are not only for children who are learning to write - some adults need them too!Good shape, good grip - excellent product!Thanks very much Staetdler!

Because they are soft and chunky these pencils are ideal for children and/or any persons with weak hands or any sort of major minor disability as not much pressure is required by the hand to enable writing. The lead is strong and remains intact throughout the length of the pencil, a pleasure to write and draw with offering good hand grip.

I suffer badly with arthritic hands and gripping standard size pencils hurts after a minute or two, but not with these, their chunky triangular shape is perfect.

Nice and big, soft leaded pencils ideal for drawing and you can feel the paper as you draw. One of my favourites but you might need some fixative on heavy drawing.
