I’ve been using BRITA filters for years, and this new Maxtra Pro version feels like an improvement. The water tastes cleaner and fresher, with no chlorine smell. The Maxtra Pro filters are extremely good.Filter any limescale that's in the water ,which we suffer with in the south west.Much better than than cheaper version that are on the market.The price is abit steep but you get quality and a decent cup of tea in the process.Easy to install aswell.Highly Recommend.

But I wasn't concerned since each cartridge was individually sealed and perfectly intact. When I held the new PRO cartridge, I immediately noticed the improved design compared to the previous MAXTRA+ filters I'd been using.Technical Details & FeaturesI was impressed to learn these are made from 50% bio-based materials and are 99% recyclable - a nice environmental upgrade from BRITA. According to the packaging, these new PRO filters increase capacity by 50% compared to the previous model, filtering up to 150L in 4 weeks per cartridge. That's equivalent to about 150 plastic water bottles, which feels good from both a cost and environmental perspective.Real-World TestingI followed the simple 5-step process exactly as instructed:1. I removed my old filter and disposed of it2. I thoroughly cleaned my jug3. I submerged the new PRO filter in cold water4. I inserted it firmly into the jug's filter slot5. While ZeroWater might remove slightly more contaminants, their filters cost significantly more and need replacing much more frequently. PUR filters are comparably priced but don't seem to last as long in my experience. When considering the improved capacity of these PRO filters, BRITA pulls ahead even further in value.Tips for Other BuyersI'd recommend rinsing the filter thoroughly before first use - I run it under cold water for about 30 seconds. Also, make sure you press the reset button when changing filters, or the indicator won't accurately track filter life. If you have particularly hard water, you might want to consider their specific Limescale Expert version instead.

Works perfectly for my water filter and kettle. You can drink the water without fear of an off taste, filters quickly, easy to fit, fits perfectly. Would recommend.
