Non-locking.
The whisk is perfectly adequate if you're using it with thin-medium mixes. It cleans easily. However, if you're using it to mix a thicker sauce (rue) from scratch, it will start to collapse completely. If it had a lock function it would be spot-on.

Don’t bother
These are deigned to come apart for cleaning but once apart, they don’t go back together properly and make whisking anything a nightmare. I wish I have bought either the original version or something totally different!

Very light weight
Good item but comes apart quite easily so be careful to hold the whisk near the end of the handle, beginning of whisk

Can tell it's not the real thing
These are good and they work but they do feel a little cheap and not solid like the original branded whisk like this. Great for the price and I suppose you have 2 spare if one should break.
