Recessed Light Clips | 10 Pairs | Perfect for Recessed Retrofit Down Light

Works great and a little trick to make installation simple. It's thin and bends easily, but that's part of the benefit to retrofit to your existing recessed lights. My first one or two attempts failed miserably because it was hard to line up the opposite side to be centered and sometimes I want it to be offset if the hole for the light was cut unevenly. The trick I used to save time and get the light to align perfectly was to:1) Take the light and trace the circumference onto a piece of paper and also put an "X" on the paper trace where the spring clip on the light head (should be one of each side of the light, see pic). Draw a line through both of those "Xs" through the center.2) I orient the clip such that the short tab where the screw goes in faces down, and Install the first clip about 1" from the bottom of the canned light.3) Use the template and align one of the "X" to where the clip was installed and orient the template where you feel it covers the hole completely then mark where that other clip will go on the opposite side following the line through the "Xs" that you drew in step 14) Install the second clip where you marked5) install the light and it should lined up the way you wanted.Hope this helps make your retrofit work less painful.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, in the business knew where I could find these c clips or if they were even sold separately. I was lucky enough to find them on Amazon. I bought LED lights and installed them myself using these clips in the cans in my kitchen. My cans did not have these clips in them. At first I was worried they would not work because they seemed to bend easy, but soon found out to my surprise it made them convenient and very easy to install. They fit and work perfectly with no bending from the springs (good luck breaking them, I tried before installing them for quality assurance). These light clips fit and work perfectly. I installed eight sets and replaced my old lights with new recessed LED down lights for all under $100. My property manager wanted $300 to do them. I am very happy with the turnout. Thanks a lot!

These clips were a lifesaver! We had older “eye ball” lights and were wanting to upgrade to LED spring lights. Unfortunately the cans we had did not have the punch out c brackets. None of the big box stores carry them. With the exception of Home Depot, which are $7 for one set and available online only. Super easy to install and cheap alternative to replacing the entire can. Recommend %100!

The installation is a bit of a pain but thats not the fault of the product...just tight quarters.

I went to my local hardware store and couldn’t find the clips I needed. Found these ones here. ordered them and got them unbelievably quick. They seemed solid when I got them but I wanted to wait until I installed them to write a review to make sure they were legit. These things are great. I was replacing incandescent lights with the LED retrofit kit. My can lights did not have clips so I needed these clips. The clips work great if you have them exactly where they need to go. I went from the bottom of my ceiling up about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches. I also installed the clip where the hole with the screw was on top where the clip area was on the bottom. I hope this review saves you sometime, but the clips work great. You may have to adjust them. I just used an ice pick to start the hole. An angle drill may work or a basic nail to just start the hole.

We are renovating our kitchen and had 8 recessed lights. the cans did NOT have the side clips and it would have been very hard to replace the cans in the ceiling. I found these clips and purchased along with a right angle attachment and bits. i was able to mount these up and change my lights to the newer type LED. Saved so much money in not having to hire an electrician, extrmely happy! It isn't the easiest to install, definitely need a right angle attachment since inside the can is tight.

My home has luminere down lights, no traditional “can” so in order to install new LED replacements these brackets were essential. I used #3 machine screws and nuts to fasten them to the old brackets. Worked amazingly well.
