This was a bargain set for me, at £9.99 I got it on a deal day.I’d been wanting to try Beetles for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. I’m impressed, very impressed.Yes, they are small bottles, only 5ml each colour, but for home manicures they’re a perfect size.They are thicker than some other brands, and in some cases only one colour coat is necessary (with all nail polish, thin coats are always advisable to avoid wrinkling, peeling, chipping, and of course the burning sensation when curing under UV because it’s been applied too thickly!)I was going on holiday and I wanted a manicure that would last at least two weeks without any repairs or intervention from me. I also wanted to avoid the regrowth gap that can appear as the nail grows and the gel ‘grows out’ with it, so I created this polka dot look with just a clear base. The dots were made with 7 colours from the set, fixing each colour before adding the next so they didn’t bleed into each other and I could overlap them. The gold was just the occasional piece of round confetti. To create a smooth finish I used the base coat again over the colour coats, which also fixed the confetti in place, and finished with the No wipe clear top coat.These lasted over 3 weeks, I didn’t want to take them off, so when I got home I did a quick surface file, smoothing out the regrowth area, and reapplied the top coat down to my cuticle edge. In the end I removed them after 30 days, but only because my nails were so long they were becoming cumbersome and I needed to cut them, but they may well have lasted another week to ten days.I can see from other reviews that some people have had an allergic reaction to some polishes in the range. With all cosmetic products (not just hair dye) patch tests are important, in addition when applying gel polish it is imperative to avoid prolonged contact with skin and cuticles, clean away any excess before curing.

Good range of colours got at excellent price easy to use includes base coat, top gloss coat and matt top coat to be used with led uv lamp to cure gel polish.

I really love this set of colours, they are so complementary to each other and perfect for autumn. The formula is mostly good, some only neeeding one coat really but did two anyway. And some are more sheer needing three coats for full coverage. The glitters are really pretty and have a coloured base so could be used on their own or over the top of a complementary colour. Top coat is really nice, no sticky layer and fairly shiny. The only downside is the size of the bottles. I should have read the description more clearly but they are very small bottles. Okay if you only do your own nails but would run out quickly if using regularly. Looking at a similar product by a different company their bottles are larger, so I have ordered a set of gels from them to see if the formula is comparable. If so I will be using them instead as they are around the same price, for the same amount of colours just in bigger bottles.

In a complete novice at doing my own nails. I have been using wraps on natural nails for ages, but at the moment they are weak and breaking, so I thought I would have a go at using tips with biab and I bought this gel polish set for a choice of colours. Come nicely presented in a display tray complete with base and both shiny and Matt topcoats.My first attempt and I’m really pleased. Would be nice to mix and match colours though, would love to pick my own set. Colour went on nicely and I’ve done two coats over Biab. Doesn’t smell, cured for 90 seconds per layer.

I bought these as it had good reviews. Glad I did as the colours are beautiful and the layers are thin so can build up as you like. It has been approx 10 days and no chip or peeling.Bottles are on the smaller side but I prefer this as it means I get to try different bundles of colours

The media could not be loaded. As someone who has never done her own nails before, I enjoyed using the Beetle gel varnish set. Could have used some thinner brushes but for the price I think it's fair they aren't included.

Used this to do my own nails. Brilliant range of colours and even some lovely sparkly ones. The colour lasts about 4-5 days on nails, whereas if i got them professionally done they can last 2-3 weeks. Good for diy nails but not a good as professional polish.

This color set has so many options. I absolutely love it. For the amount you get at this price is unbeatable. Its easy to use and stays on well

Tried everything but doesn't bond well and continues to peel

So I tried the fake nails and not only after 3-4 days my hands and fingers begun to hurt I've always had soft and fragile nails but after getting this product it ruined them even more, and it seems I might be allergic like the warning said because not long after trying to do a gel manicure instead the polish won't stick and it ripped off some of my nail beds and it actually felt like the polish was pulling it off with it and my fingers have been itchy and red for a few days now so I don't think I'll be using this brand again if it damaged my nails this severe. Just be careful is all I'm saying in the end disappointed to say the least to the point I actually cried a few times.
