My Original Order of this ICEPURE Gravity-fed Water Filter System arrived so well and tightly packaged that I couldn’t take the Unit Pieces apart so I can set it up. I didn’t want to force it open and cause Damage to the Unit. So, I asked for a Replacement, that will open, so I can do my Review on this Product.The Replacement of this Water Filter System also came well-packaged and in good Condition. It was easy to take apart and set up. Assembling the Filters was also easy. Compared to my old System’s Filters, this ICEPURE’s Filters are a lot cheaper and work just as well. The only Issue I ran into was my Kitchen Upper Cabinets, which didn’t provide me with a lot of Space to place this tall Water Filter System. So, I have to find a different Place for it. But that’s not this System’s Fault. Overall, I like this Water Filter System because the Filters are affordable.

Instal : leaking had to mess with jointAfter 1 or 2 months the water tasted weird I Checked the bottom and was horrified, bad quality product, AVOID.

Expecting the worst, this purifier could possibly save you and your family’s lives. In an emergency, this thing works perfectly. Over 2 gallons in less than an hour. My water tastes great. Had to buy water or use well water before. Now, just purify the well water. Excellent product. I add one tsp of Himalayan salt to the first gal. In the morning to replace 83 vitamins and minerals, some lost in the process. Can’t taste the salt at all.

It could be just mine but my unit cannot hold water above & below at the same time (leaks at silicone washer/faucet or at the sight-glass, where the threads on the sight-glass shield are not very robust. Too bad, I was going to buy one for all the kids this Christmas...

Update 3/18/24: replaced the rusty spigot with a stainless steel unit sourced on Amazon. Works fine now. No rust. Resetting to 3 stars as there seems still to be good value despite extra time effort cost.Update: 3/4/23: rusts. I started to notice an orange color to the water. Large amounts of bright orange rust keeps forming inside the spigot. Repeated washing doesn’t stop this, of course. Since iron is a pro-oxidant in biological system and increases (in large amounts it build up in the body only reduced by blood donation) cancer and CVD risk in older men and post menopausal women, I’m not willing to drink the rusty water.Good value relative to similar units; much larger capacity than the Berkey unit I bought at 1/3 the price. Directions not great: diagrams too small and no labeled well. Some parts of construction overlooked entirely. Still, giving it 4.5 stars as once constructed it functions well.

WAITING FOR THE NEXT STORM

Seems to be made of quality material. Haven’t tried it yet. Saving it for emergency.

9/22/24 rusty, dirty water. Not practical. Don’t waste your time and money and energy. ☹️
