The colors are mostly those soft beiges, browns and a little pink that is more of a fleshy pink. About half of them have some sparkle added. A couple of the sparkly ones have larger chunks of sparkle that really pick up the light and throw off those fun rays of light. I really like the color selection for my somewhat pale beige skin tones. Makes them super easy to wear when I only want some softer colors that are more natural looking. Although those chunky glitter bits will be anything but natural, yet they are pretty cool and fun to wear. I have noticed that the colors only hold up so long, but the sparkles stay put for quite a long time. They actually look good by themselves. Because these powders are so very dense with the slightest hint of a cream base to keep the powders together, they get used up extremely fast. Best to think of these eye shadows as being more samples than a collection that will last you for a good while. They won't. In fact, I was hitting the bottom of the palate container during my first use, and I wasn't even using all that much. There's just a little of each color and they are thick. Though they won't last long, they are easy and fun to wear. Just be a bit careful with the bigger chunked sparkly ones if you are going for a natural look. Those will be fun when you want to add some pizzaz to your eyes. Review: fun colors - These are some nice fun colors overall (two weren't my style, but the rest were). Overall, I do like this palette, just wish it came with a applicator brush or a space to store an applicator brush.
