NOT FOR BEGINNERS
Worst set of instructions I have ever seen. Blurry and indistinct pictures, no measurements on the different stays. The sales description calls this kit "beginners" and that it can be built by a 14 year old !!! Who are they kidding !!!

Enjoyed the challenge. Nice basic model.
I enjoyed researching and building this model. Not the exact hull shape but can be reshaped ,sails not as the picture advertised but came with these horrible metal eyelets in each corner, spoiled end result.Finally finished looking good

A good buy.
I wanted to try out a model kit for first time and so bought this so that I could start on something simple. It didn't disappoint. I completed it over one weekend spending approx. 7 or 8 hours on it. Some parts a little fiddly and instructions take a little time to understand but overall a very good buy for a beginner.

Fun kit but could be better.
Pretty much as expected from reviews. Needed a primer coat on the wood and the supplied paint was not good enough so ended up using some other paint I had lying around. Good fun for my son to build, rigging is fiddly but end result is a nice model. Stickers didn't work with the better paint job as they did not stand out, but does not spoil the look.

Disappointed
Contents of the kit are pretty disappointing with these looking mass produced in order to get the low price. Hull is uneven and the edges of the keel on a different alignment so it looks squint when viewed front-on. Will need to sand down and re-profile a number of pieces in order to get them to fit together properly.

Dried up glue!
Bought this late oct for a Christmas present. It was opened on Christmas Day and the glue pot was completely dried up, therefore useless!

Excellent as a starter kit
I bought this as a means to improve my dexterity and clarity of thinking whilst recovering from my liver transplant, in that respect it was hugely successful. It looks OK and is excellent as a starter kit but I wouldn't like to have this as anything but a very first kit.

very easy model to make the only problem are the sails ...
very easy model to make the only problem are the sails they are easily tared apart on the holes for the rope and the instructions don't tell you how to connect two hooks together but its nothing to worry about you just need pliers and tweezers and you are good to go
