Q: Do you need hairspray to lock this in like that of mane so that of youre caught out in the rain or sweating ot doesn't run down your face?

Hello :) it's not waterproof but I have slept over night with it and it holds up well but Slight staining on pillow next day which washes out easy. I've been to gym and it holds up. You could try use a hairspray to fix it if it is waterproof. I think it's quite good spray for small balding patches

Use on dry hair and before styling gel/ paste etc.

No it doesn’t have to be dry, in fact, it is recommended you apply to wet hair as you can see the thinning areas more clearly.
