Light, comfy, on the wider side
Finally, a good Merrell shoe again. I think my favorite ever summer shoes are the very minimalist "wonder glove" shoes (same brand); I have a pair of those that I have been wearing all summer for the last 3 years, and so they are starting to look a little worn. I wanted a replacement, but Merrell unfortunately doesn't make those any more.I wanted a shoe that would look OK (casual but not _super_ casual), are lightweight, and I can walk in them when I go to work (1 hour each way). Besides, I have somewhat wide feet (usually an M works, but not if it is on the narrow side).I really like Merrell shoes because they fit these requirements usually. Or, at least they used to.So I ordered this and a newer model, the "Eluma breeze", just to compare them. Well, this won by far. This is about half the weight of the other pair, much more flexible, a nice soft suede and textile in the inside. The other was, in contrast, clunky, very stiff, and my feet were bleeding after a half hour wear (hard surface). (Besides, this one looks way better too, not like a teenager's sneaker converted into an MJ shoe like the other one.)Anyway. These are light shoes, so if you are looking for strong arch support, this might not be it. But they are very comfortable, have a removable insert (so you can put in your own if you want to), go on and off quickly, and are just great to walk in. I really love these shoes, and wish Merrell didn't stop making everything that actually works.

amazing shoe & delivery!!
This particular Merrell is the second pair of Merrells I own and while I consider myself pretty thrifty with a buck, these are worth every single penny!!First of all, now that I've developed some bunion problems, these are the very best shoe for my problem (at least in my opinion). They don't rub my feet in any way and are absolutely adorable!I get lots of compliments (my other pair is the light blue color! perfect with jeans.) They work well with or without socks. I would highly highly recommend theseshoes for anyone with or without feet issues. The second amazing thing is that I ordered them on a Thursday and got them the very next day!! Talk about service. I couldn't be happier!I'd give the shoe and the service a rating of 100 if I could!!

As described - comfy, light and airy. Order a half size smaller for no-socks wear.
These shoes are as described. I followed reviewers' advice and ordered a half size smaller (8M) than my usual 8.5 size. They fit fine for a no-socks shoe. I ordered on Amazon Monday and received Friday -- fast and efficient. They can't be found in any retail stores (I've looked extensively), unfortunately, as I like to try on shoes before buying sight unseen. Thankfully, readers have provided plenty of reviews. These shoes offer better support than strappy sandals but less support than light hikers or Keen toe-bumpers. Not for hiking (soles are soft), but fine for around town, traveling, walking around cities. Can wear with dressy casual clothing, too. Not good for rain, obviously. The only reason I rated 4-star rather than 5 is these shoes are overpriced for what they are. Merrel light hikers are less expensive and offer better foot support.A sturdy alternative to these is AllRounder Niro mary jane's by Mephisto. I just saw these and might order them in the future, but only on sale. They are pricey! Around $179.

They are super, super comfy and I wear them without socks
These are just what I was looking for in a summer shoe. I need to post a picture. They are super, super comfy and I wear them without socks. They look narrow, but they are not. In fact, they do run a tad wide. But the Velcro adjusts well. They are true to size, but if you plan on wearing them without socks, you may want to get 1/2 a size smaller. I wear 7 1/12 to 8 and I bought the 8 for safe measure. They are great, but 7 1/2 would've been fine too. Just order the size you normally do and it'll work out.

Comfortable walking shoe
I purchased this shoe for city walking and travel. It held up very well and was comfortable - even after a long day on cobblestones. It is not bulky and has a sleeker, ballet-slipper type appearance so it can be worn with slacks or a casual skirt. It is very lightweight and easy to pack. The top strap is slightly adjustable -- enough to accommodate the difference between wearing socks and not. While they are sporty looking, they would probably not be good for off-road walking requiring more lateral support.

So-so shoes
I usually wear size 81/2 - 9 med. I ordered a 9 and they fit as expected, EXCEPT there is a pinch on the top of my foot. I wore them around the house before I decided to keep them. They loosened just a little, but I probably would not wear them on a hot day or on a long walk due to my feet swelling. They look good, but I feel they're not as well-made as my other Merrell shoes. They did advertise free shipping for returns, which is good if I totally couldn't wear them at all.

Great summer shoes!
I love these! I put my arch supports in ( not fancy ones) because my skinny feet were sliding around, worked perfectly. They are great! Summer shoes for work, on my feet entire day everyday except for 15-20 min lunch , I walk a lot, carry a lot of things and walk up and down stairs, my feet stay cool, the toe bed is very comfortable ( I do not have wide feet) and my feet get wet often and they dry out quickly! Look cute with skirts, shorts or pants!

Buyer Beware!
This is the fourth pair of Merrell shoes that I have purchased for my wife. She was delighted with the first three pair, but this purchase is definitely the exception to the rule. The fit is much sloppier than any of the others. Also they are uncomfortable and could not be worn without socks. These shoes just do not seem to be up to the normal Merrell standards. I have purchased hundreds of items from Amazon and on rare occasions I had to return an item. This is the first item that I purchased from Amazon which requires me to pay return shipping. This pair of shoes was sold through Amazon by MLW shoes. Buyer beware!
