766-24 Chef's Classic 8-Quart Stockpot with Cover, Stainless Steel

First, contrary to what some reviews have suggested, I believe that this is a 10 qt pot. The interior markings end at 9 Qts but there is 10 qt capacity above the last mark up to the rim. So it holds 10 qts technically but not practically or usefully. For me, that's not an issue at all. It's a great size for cooking pasta, soup, chili, ragu, etc. So many pots this size are taller. This one is slightly shorter and wider which makes it easier to store and probably a little easier to heat through with the contents not quite so deep. It performed really well browning beef chunks for ragu. I do believe the heating and browning was better and more even than my much more expensive stainless All-Clad pans. Clean up has been easy and the mirror finish is still looking great. Didn't think I'd find the cup markings inside so useful. How did I live without them? Pasta water amount is measured as it's filling up and always easy to be consistent. We often make a whole or double recipe of soups, chili, pasta sauces, divide equally and freeze half. No extra measuring now. Just use interior marks to determine half. This pot has been a dream to use, made things easier in both cooking and clean up, and has been so much more than I expected.

I recently switched to this brand and love the pots and pans. I needed a bigger pan so I ordered this 8 quart . So easy to clean. Nothing sticks to it. I threw out my old pots and pans completely switched over. I will probably be buying a few more.

Excellent pot

We didn't need a pot this big...... Or so we thought. We only needed a 9 quart, but now we NEVER worry that the pot luck dish is getting too big. Lol It heats up great. Cleans easily. Looks pretty on the stove. Has a great warranty. The handles are sturdy and don't get too hot unless you have the fire up too high. And of course use a pot holder for the lid. Duh Love it. Sturdy, well made and safe to cook on. The bottom has the aluminum core for even heating and the entire thing is a heavy gauge stainless for safe health and durability. So far, so good! If you find you're getting burn marks or that the handles are getting too hot, turn down the heat. The aluminum core will evenly distribute the heat and using high heat only hurts the performance. It's right in the instructions: low to middle heat ONLY. We wash it in the dishwasher too. No problems. Love it. Expect to have it the rest of our lives.

I have had a set of Cuisinart pots and pans since 2000 and I still love them and use them. This latest stainless stock pot is a very welcome addition to my collection. I love the quality and beauty and price/valure of Cuisinart cookware. Thanks Cuisinart!

Love the volume measurements stamped on the inside. Feather light. Top end of volume for a home cook’s needs.

The thing I like most about the Cuisinart 12 qt. Stockpot is the size and how it distributes the heat evenly. It fits well on our electric stove’s 8 in. burner. We used it the first time to prepare some gumbo. It did a great job with the heat distribution. Only wish it came with a glass top with a vent release on top.

I love, love, love this pot. It’s exactly the size I have been looking for. I’m happy I went with purchasing a Cuisinart even though there were other high rated options. The heavy duty quality is perfect. You can’t go wrong with this purchase.
