Quality & Performance Overall, the quality very good it feels really nice to hold. If someone gave me it and said it was the Apple Pencil I would believe them. The connectivity has been great. I rarely have to click the top to turn it on because if it's charging on the iPad and I take it off it's already connected. The extra functionality with the button on top is really convenient - single click goes to the home screen and double click shows the app switcher. I just wish there was 1 more action to switch back to the previous app. The magnet is really strong and I've tried to shake the pen off but it doesn't budge Charging Issues I have been experiencing charging issues. I have the iPad Mini 6th Gen so it is compatiable and if I attach it to the charger it does charge the pen perfectly. The issue though is it seems to only be charging if the iPad screen is on. So if I put the pen on the iPad to charge it will start charging, but if the screen turns off the Pen will charge for another minute or so and then it stops charging. When I first got it I put it on the iPad for a few hours and then when I finally went to use it the battery was only at 5%. I've tried messing around with it and I'm seeing this consistent behavior where it stops charging a minute or so after the screen goes off. So it took me over a day to get it fully charged because i had to keep coming back to my iPad and taking the pen off and putting back on so it starts charging again Customer Service The support service from Rosie was excellent. When I contacted them about the charging issue, Rosie immediately acknowledged the problem and offered either a refund or a replacement. I'm still waiting for the replacement and hoping it resolves the charging problem. Overall Value Assuming the replacement pen addresses the charging issues. I would 100% recommend this over the Apple Pencil. I think the only real benefit the Apple pencil has is the tilt and pressure sensitivity. So if you don't need that for drawing or whatever, I don't see any reason to get the Apple Pencil for $100 more. If the replacement pen still has the charging issues, I'll update it my review. But even with the charging issues, it's still not that bad of a deal. It is annoying and if you use the pen all day to work and take notes, it could be very problematic. If the replacement has the same charging issues I might request they replace it with one of the other versions that charges via USB-C **UPDATE** The replacement pen has resolved the charging issue so it now works perfectly

This thing is pretty nice, I quite like it. Very precise and pairing was honestly a breeze. Love taking notes and playing around with it making memes, drawings, etc. Make SURE to LOOK at the list of APPROVED devices, I have the iPad mini 2024 model and wireless charging doesn’t work (my fault😭) so I’ll have to look for a little usb cable that is able to charge this pen which will be easy to find. All and all, this thing is a GREAT value for its price and functionality, I’m more than sure you’ll like yours. One last thing: Metapen customer support is freaking AMAZING

Let’s just start by saying, I’m one of those ppl who loves pens in general and it’s no different when it comes to the Apple pencil2/ stylus, I have many kinds in different colors. Anyway this is my go to. This thing is the truth it connects automatically soon as you take it off the iPad, give it a click, it’s ready to write. Once turned on the one click two click is my favorite. One clicks gets you home and two clicks shows all open windows. The only difference with the real deal is that you click the top of this and the sides of the Apple Pencil. This thing holds its value and performance. The accuracy is precise and quality is amazing. I wish they made this one in more colors at least black. Buy it already… I’ve had it almost a week and was hesitant in writing this review because I haven’t had it long, but I must tell those that are looking look no further this is the one. Will update if anything changes.

I use the iPad to draw professionally. I was looking for a back-up pencil and found this one. Reasonably priced, it charges and stores just the same way an Ipencil does. While some other brands need to be plugged in awkwardly. My only beef is the pencil is not pressure sensitive. Turning it on it’s side gives it different effect, but pressure does not. This is perfect for a casual user or a person not concerned with the drawing aspects of the Ipencil. Whatever you’re using it for, it’s good quality, works well, mirrors the name brand well. You won’t be disappointed. My only small issue is the light on top, which stays on.

At a fraction of the cost compared to the Apple Pencil and similar features this is a home run. I've owned both and would recommend this first before the Apple pencil. The only thing I’d change is being able to turn off the LED.

I was honestly not a huge fan. It worked for about 5 minutes after I got it connected to my iPad. Then it died and the magnets in the pen were not in alignment with my iPad and it repelled against the charging side for the pen. It WOULD NOT connect to charge and i literally tried everything. Just spend a little more on one that actually works.

I bought this for use on my 12.9 inch 6th gen iPad Pro. I mostly wanted a pen/stylus that wireless charges which this does. It easily pairs via bluetooth, comfortable in the hand, has good battery life, and is really nice to see the battery widget on the iPad itself. The tapping function is great for the various uses it provides. Overall, if you're looking for a pen/stylus that charges wireless and is great for primarily taking notes, it's hard to beat the value here especially compared to any Apple Pencil.

I’ve been using the Metapen A14 for a while now, and honestly, I’m super impressed. It feels just like the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen but at a much better price. The writing and drawing are smooth, no lag at all, and it works perfectly with my iPad. I use it mainly for note-taking and some light sketching, and it handles both really well. You can use it with Apple ipad normal model as well, its just it gets chared wirelessly thats why tey recomment use it with pro model. I have both and I can simply switch on both as needed. The wireless charging is such a great feature. It attaches to the side of the iPad and charges just like the original Apple Pencil. No extra cables, no hassle – I love it. It’s also moisture-proof, which I guess is nice to have, though I haven’t really tested that out (not planning to either!). Build-wise, it’s solid but lightweight. Feels good in the hand and comfortable to use for long periods. The magnet is decent, though not as strong as the Apple Pencil, so be careful if you’re carrying it in a bag – it might fall off. The only real downside is it doesn’t have tilt sensitivity, so if you’re a serious artist, you might miss that. But for someone like me, who’s mostly using it for casual stuff, it’s perfect. Overall, it’s a great buy if you’re looking for something like the Apple Pencil but don’t want to spend a fortune. Totally worth it!
