For a costume
Using this as part of a costume. Will work great for that! If I were to give this to children to play with, I would expect it to last less than a minute. Not a toy to be chopped into other swords or into other things.

Poor quality
Literally came apart the first time my 5yo played with it. The pieces come apart and would fly off which was very dangerous.

Good for kids
I bought this for my daughter’s Halloween costume. Worked for our needs. Doesn’t remain retracted unless the tip cover is on it but there’s no where to keep it unless you have a pocket. Blunted tip. Stores upside down in its pouch. Not too long but long enough-My 10 year old daughter wore it without complaints of it getting in her way.

Dance recital prop
This was used in a dance recital by about 25 dancers. It did look good for the warrior costume. The connection pieces were so weak that they couldn’t hold up to any amount of play. Most of them bent despite the attempts to not make strong contact.
