After getting it set up I was able to make very decent motis and tendon joints. Great for a hobbiest woodworker on a budget.

No instructions so it took a while to figure it out. What you need to know-1. This is only effective if mounted on a drill press. It does not work on a hand drill, even a hammer drill isn’t effective.2. You have to go incredibly slow. If you plunge more than 1/4” it will get stuck. No matter how impatient you are, you have to take your time.3. Make sure your set up is square and tight! The fixture will move if not.Overall it works and does a decent job, but the results are very user dependent.

Almost works. Needs set screw to hold collett/chisel part of mortise drill. Fits drill seems to be aligned well but chisel slips making it unusable. Very unfortunate.

On my Skill drill press, Anything higher than 1/2" it will not, I repeat, It will not drill anything higher than !/2", If you do it, will damage your drill press. Mike Wallace

Sadly, this did not hold tight enough to be able to push down the square outer piece with the bore hole. Ended up with perfect round holes. We really wanted square edges. We will do so by hand now.We tightened it completely but still slipped.Buyers, be sure that this bracket is made for your exact drill attachment. This could have been designed for another manufacturer's attachments.

Had to figure out how to install it. But it works just like it is supposed to.

I used this mortising setup on a drill press. But based on my experience I can’t imagine how it would work in a hand drill unless you’re mortising balsa wood. I found it takes extreme pressure to push the chisel thru fairly hard pine, and you have to clamp down the workpiece with 3or 4 clamps to keep it from riding up when you retract the chisel bit.Overall it got the job done but took me hours to set it up and get it working right, so I left off one star.
