I didn't use it for what it was intended for...I used them as a hatch light in my Acura. Nice colour, solid build...the 3 watt is nice and bright.

Good-looking product, but the units are failing after 6 months. Between March and April 2025 I bought 50 units. I’m installing them in condominiums. I have already installed 25 units, and three units have already failed. They are placed on the floor in corridors inside condominiums at a constant ambient temperature of 20 degrees. See the picture attached. I’m an electronic engineer, and I open the failed units. One unit failed in short circuit, the other two had LED failures. It looks like the cooper-clad PCB where the LED is mounted is not making good contact with the aluminum housing, preventing effective heat dissipation. There is white silicone glue between them instead of thermal compound. See the picture with the red arrows pointing to the silicon glue between the housing internal flange and the LED PCB. Another issue is the power dissipation of the constant current-source PWM Integrated circuit. The unit is filled with silicon glue, and the thermal transmission from the IC to the housing is also very poor. It's probably better not to put any silicon glue. The cooper-clad PCB with the LED should be mounted from the top of the unit and not the bottom, with thermal compound between the housing's internal flange and the LED PCB. The LED should be a high-quality Cree LED. Increase the product price if necessary. I will continue testing all the units I bought, but I’m not planning to buy any more until I get a sense of the failure rate.
