The media could not be loaded. Charming little book nook and the first one I’ve ever assembled. I was a little apprehensive at first because 1) I’ve never built something with so many pieces and 2) first instructions were mostly in Chinese. But the process wasn’t too terrible. You need to be careful popping the pieces out of the boards they are in but for the most part, I was impressed with their sturdiness. You will need glue for some of the steps as well. Overall, there were only 5 or 6 steps that took some manipulating but the rest came together fairly easily. One tip I have: use something to help make the connection spots a tiny bit wider for easier assembly. I used a small wooden skewer to just gently “open up” the cut out slots for some tiny adjoining pieces. It helped tremendously. I got so into this I put it all together in one sitting, taking about 4 hours total (with a couple of breaks). Now I want to try another one! They look so good in my library nestled in my books.

I am almost done putting this together. I love it. It’s challenging and relaxing and really fun. I am 62 and was looking for something to spend time away from computer and phone. It’s perfect. The model is very detailed and very nice, every piece fits together nicely. I highly recommend.

This was my first book nook that I built and it was challenging, but easy enough for beginners like me to take on!The wood is thicker than I expected so it makes the whole foundation and build more secure. It comes with two small sticks to help detach/attach pieces together so your fingers won’t hurt as much.Everything you need is included besides the glue (and some tweezers preferably), so make sure you have glue beforehand! Honestly, any glue that dries clear works, but I recommend Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue— works well and is budget friendly.The only challenging part for me was the wiring step. I got the light to work perfectly fine, but securing the wires neatly was where I struggled. I found using some clear tape helps with that!Definitely a project I highly recommend! I enjoyed building this nook so much that my boyfriend got me another one to work on! :))

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love making all types and brands of these but I have been very impressed with the Fsolis brand ones. They are good quality and have better instructions and explanations. Many also come with a clear front that is very nice for dust.

Bought as XMas gift and everyone loved it. It was absolutely fun having a "build day" where we all got together to build our respective books. All the pieces are of excellent quality. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. My biggest concern was wiring the LEDs but it was actually a breeze and provides more than enough lighting for each individual display. We absolutely adore them on our shelves once they were finished. Absolutely beautiful bookshelf decor and totally worth every penny. I feel another collection oncoming...

The build has been a little challenging, but fun! Love the details! Some of the pieces that are supposed to fit together like puzzles pieces aren't a good fit. I had to glue and set pieces that shouldn't have required glue. that added build time and required me to skip around the directions while I waited. Directions were clear and easy to understand.

First the bright colors caught my eye, then my friend Marie's name was on the front of the bakery.I did everything according to "plan" except. . . I didn't put the windows in.The doughnut/cupcake bin, I added some scrap from the edge, split it in half to lift up the middle row. Also sanded an angle on the back edge so the cakes would lean back better.The only thing I don't care for is the hollow base. The instructions are good for the most part. The wiring was a little vague but I got it.Love access to the battery compartment and the on/off is in the door way which swings both way.

I finished this kit in a day (between different things I need to do) so I would suggest this kit only take few hours to finish. It is easy to assemble and the detail is gorgeous. The cardboard material also very good and I would say it helps to make the whole progress easier!
