My son absolutely loves his new GAN cube. He says that is is super smooth and spends a lot of time spinning it. The presentation was great too as it came in a bottle bag with a velveteen pouch. It feels very luxurious.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a go at this as my last speedcube broke when it got trapped in the car boot (don’t ask!)I got this as a replacement and I’m well impressed! Not only is it incredibly smooth and easy to manipulate, but it also comes with a ‘how 2’ sheet complete with the beginners method and all the actions and permutations required to complete the cube! Brilliant for beginners! I learned Badmephisto’s method a while back and it’s very similar to this. This included guide is invaluable for learning how to solve the cube.It also comes with a card and code to get some kind of app to help you learn. I’m not bothered with all that but I imagine it would be great for beginners. I just wanted a good speedcube that’s smooth enough to allow too-soon or too-late twists and fast enough to beat in around 1 min. (See video. Please ignore the background noise - my wife was emptying the bins!)Overall, I’m really happy with this and it’s going to get some right hammer while I bring myself up to speed again.

This cube is another in my collection of speed cubes, and one of many I have from the GAN range. These cubes get better and better.This cube ticks a lot of boxes - primarily for me it's the screwless adjustments and the hexcomb lube system... I didn't even need to give this one the usual dose of lube for it to feel great.The action is really smooth. I usually benchmark (for reviews) against the latest Rubik genuine/ original (I tend to buy a new Rubik Original each year, yes I'm weird!) and I have to say, if you want a comparison:* Original Rubiks is comparable to trying to type with boxing gloves on: Sure, you can do it - but it's not easy/ fast* GAN 356 RS - like trying to type with the power of your mind: It feels fluid, seamless, effortlessOK, enough of the mad analogies - down to performance... Will this make you a faster cube solver? Well, yes and no... YES it will make you more accurate if you can already solve standard cubes quickly... it's easier to turn/ locate (even without magnets) and much more forgiving when moving layers quickly.NO: It won't make a beginner instantly faster at solving. It will not make you a cube solver if you cannot already solve the cube (Even though there's a solution diagram included).As for value: I remember buying my first GAN speed cube, and it cost me almost £100 in 2015 (some 30 years after I got my first Rubik!). This cube - which easily outperforms my original GAN (which I wish I had kept in good shape!) cost less than £20. Amazing.Overall, if you are into fast cubing and want to feel a smooth performance that won't threaten to crack apart as your hands are furiously twisting, then give these a try.

The rotations on this cube are silky smooth, effortlessly gliding left, right, up and down. The quality of the plastics used are second to none and overall it feels really nice in your hand. It's a great little cube and it hasn't showed any glaring flaws whilst I have been using it. If I was in the market to buy a cube, this would be the one!

This cube was good until now Since I’ve got my gan 12 it’s smashed and I can’t fix it off would recommend this if it was a lower price and I would recommend.

My 8 year old son became obsessed with Rubik's cubes and wanted really bad to learn how to solve them. I had got the "original" one for him but it was slow to move and he would easily give up. This one gave him the push he needed as it is so easy to move the parts making it really fast to solve. Now he is able to solve it in less than a minute and it is improving!

Good quality cube, just can't get used to it. I find this a bit to loose for my liking, I've got another speed cube that has magnetised corners which means the cube catches as you turn it, I find this type much quicker.My issues with this do not detract from the quality and speed of this cube. If this is your first speed one then you'll find it a breeze, I'm just used to a different type. Still given it 4 stars as its my issue and there's nothing wrong with the cube itself, its still a quality item that's well made and with some practice, you'll easily get your solve time down.

We are a family of cubers in this house and have several cubes that are our favourite. So we are all best equipped to test and review all cubes! This one is a great cube for a new cube professional. Starting out! It’s a favourite brand of ours GaN and always smooth to help you with speeding up and getting faster!There are more advanced ones on the market but you won’t need these until you have mastered several techniques and this is the cube to help you on that road.Great price. Great gift. Would recommend.
