I’m not a boxer, by any stretch of the imagination, but our home gym does have various boxing apparatus such as a speedball and a punch/kick back. Both myself and my wife like to give those a good pummelling, and usually we use fingerless martial arts gloves. We took the opportunity to try out these ProIron boxing gloves for the last few weeks, and I’ve been really impressed with them.I had hoped that the gloves would fit both my wife and I so I went with the size most likely to achieve that, however the gloves turned out to be a little bit larger even for me. I’ve tried using hand-wraps but even so I found that there’s just a little too much movement inside the glove. However, for our purposes, it hasn’t mattered too much. The gloves have been comfortable to wear, easy to put on and take off, and caused no discomfort to our hands when used in anger. I can’t say how they’d stand up in a proper fight, but for home use with punch bags they’re really good.
