So far so good. But off-gas this
Solid, well built, keyed and sufficient for our needs. It's heavy but it's from concrete, not thick steel. It claims to be fire resistant, water resistant but you cannot expect miracles. I'd prefer a lighter "safe" to carry out of our house in case of a fire or zombie apocalypse evacuation. The weight of the safe does not give me the illusion of impregnability. We have this to store our passports, wills, deeds, automobile titles and the like. We'll keep our gold bars, magic rings and plutonium reserves in our imaginary subterranean vault. Not bad, should suffice.Oh yes. You will be surprised by the stench when you open this. Drag it into the garage to off-gas for a while. Wiccans may want to try a cleansing spell or get a priest to perform an exorcism. It's bad, but only for a few days. Don't open it in the house for a while.

Well made and very sturdy
Exactly what we were looking for in a fireproof and waterproof strongbox. It’s heavy but we figure it’s a necessity. Plenty of room for our important documents.

Best choice for this size safe
This is heavy. And worth it. I did quite a bit of researching, and this was the highest quality and best heat resistance for this size. Perfect for our documents. Follow the instructions to air it out weekly to ensure moisture doesn’t build up inside. Please note that instructions state it’s not appropriate to store a weapon in. The keys are thinner, but not a dealbreaker. They turn and go in and out just fine.

Perfect
Fire and water protection for our documents and small valuables. Fits under the bed. Interior can fit a laptop and legal size documents. Heavy (about 40 pounds) but has a handle for carrying if needed. Clamp lock with key. Straight forward. Definitely worth the price. The lid portion could use somewhere to put your fingers when opening and closing. Hopefully we never have to find out how well it does what it is advertised to do.

Impressively sturdy but should come with more keys
Wow, this thing looks like it is a military-grade safe! Rock solid and heavy so difficult to move around. Unfortunately, it says you have to air it out weekly because moisture will build up inside and make documents, etc. musty. I guess I will have to put that task on my calendar! Also unfortunately, it only comes with two keys. Since you had better keep at least one key outside of your house in case you can't find it after a fire, you're only left with one to use on a regular basis. You can order more keys but it would have been nice to have received more keys to begin with.

heavy but UL rated so hopefully does the job
This is pretty heavy but seems able to do the job since it has a UL rating for 1 hour fire safety. Note that it must be stored laying flat, they specifically say not to store standing up. The lock is a bit flimsy but this isn't designed for theft prevention, it's only meant to protect against fire and water. This and similar safes all warn of humidity building inside the safe and require weekly airing. I wonder why they can't make a vapor-proof interior compartment?

Great backup safe for our important papers
Great size for important papers--we added fire safe pouches for all those important papers as an additional safeguard. This safe fits snug right up against our larger safe and I can slide it right out and open it with ease. Great fire ratings too!

DO NOT BUY. IGNORE WIRECUTTER RATING
DO NOT PURCHASE. We bought this because it is the highest rated on the Wirecutter. Within five minutes of opening, 1 of the 2 keys had snapped in half. Separately, the latch on the safe became stuck and wouldn’t latch. This may be fireproof, but the locking mechanism is cheap and poorly built.
