A great all purpose lens with a 35mm equivalent field of view. Bought this to pair with a Z50 and it stays on it all the time. Very sharp, minimal distortion, fast to focus. Given its very light weight, I pickup this on Z50 over the Z8 with 35.18s for most family gatherings. For APSC Nikon Z mount cameras this is best lens for all purpose photography. Combine this with a 40 f2, for best travel kit all around across brands imho.

This is essentially the 40/2 but for apsc. It is a great lens and you must get it if you have a crop sensor camera. The autofocus is spot on and silent. The image quality is amazing. It really resolves beyond the sensor.

Got this lens for my Nikon Zfc…..and it’s tac sharp !, exactly what I needed. Highly recommended.

It is a nice bright lens, with snappy contrast. It isn't a Zeiss or even a Canon prime but it gets the job done. The aperture could have an extra blade or be more curved but this is a cheap crop lens, what more can you expect. If you are coming from one of those awful kit lens with the f6.3 then this will rock your world.

This lens is great. super sharp, easy to use, and is wonderful for video.

Did not like this lens at all and I believe the f1.7 does not represent the real specs for this lens. Numerous side-by-side comparisons with similar f stop lenses and this was the worst performance of the 3. Had to return and can’t recommend this lens. However, I do like the 12-28 power zoom Nikon lens.

Small, lightweight, bright lens. I really enjoy the lens hood! It's completely different to anything I own, but it's just so handy, barely notice it's there and actually protects the glass really well - I'm never worried about getting fingerprints on the glass! Also, the lens hood is small and doesn't add bulk. It's a small thing that really makes a huge difference - love it! More lenses like this that are bright and relatively affordable please, especially with competing brands muscling in with alternatives. Happy to stay inside the Nikon ecosystem with options like this.

All rounder lens for all purposes for your DX cameras like Nikon z50 and Zfc. Starting from landscape to portrait shoots. Con: No VR..So little blurry pics for low light situations. Overall excellent all purpose lens..
