Great box to use with inside USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelopes for shipping.
For the price, this is a very nice deal. With free shipping on Amazon Prime, it makes it a steal at $8.50 for 25 boxes. That is 34 cents a box. The quality of the box is very good. It looks and feels like standard commercial grade corrugated cardboard boxes for that type and size of box. They are made of recycled cardboard, so it was slightly darker in color of the box compared to non-recycled boxes one would buy. But, that does not matter. I definitely recommend this box. If you have Amazon Prime, t will be a great deal with the free shipping.Came as a bundle of 25 strapped with a plastic binding strap. They arrived brand new in excellent brand new condition. This size box fits into the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded envelopes with a little room to spare. It was the closest I could find to fit into the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded envelopes without having to buy the expensive ones that is being marketed and sold and special size that fit exact maxing out the envelope. Those costs way too much per box for my needs. These worked out better. "If it fits, it ships" as USPS says for their Priority Mail Flat Rate stuff. Using a box inside the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope allows for shipping things not flat and nicely in the envelope while protecting it fairly well as long as you protect the item in the box with stuffing and filling as needed. Ships for the nice flat rate price of a flat rate envelope regardless of weight within the US.

Not the best boxes, but they work
I use these boxes for mailing small leather goods. I specifically chose them for the recycled paper and value. Overall, these boxes work fine, but the cardboard is a bit soft and isn’t as rigid as I would prefer. They also don’t fold as cleanly as I would like. All that said, they do the job for lightweight items, but I’d be a little hesitant to use them for heavier items with sharp corners.

Declining Quality
This review would have been 2 stars, but there are other factors that I will list below as to why it's 3.I have been using Pratt brand boxes for over a few years now (several hundred, various sizes). When I first started purchasing them, they all were assembled very well and at a good price. In the first year-and-a-half, I would have given them 5 stars because they always came in good shape and "ready to use" right out of the ... box. However, since that first period, the quality of the 9x6x3 boxes have steadily gone down. I purchase these size boxes by the 100 pack and my last purchase had about 75% usable boxes. The term "usable" is exactly how it sounds, that I can work with some of the defects and still use the boxes to send packages. I'd say 60% of the original 100 needed no "work" and I could use them as-is. The other 15% of the usable boxes needed some work to get them in "ship shape". The rest of the 100 were basically scrap cardboard (which have some uses). Again, these defects (which I list below) were encountered only on the 9x6x3 boxes, of which I use the most. The other sizes I have ordered have been reasonably good quality. So, the 3 star rating instead of 2.Recent defects, past year (the boxes are 2 pieces that are glued together to make the box): - Box is assembled wrong type 1: The separate pieces are "off" severely and the box, when folded into shape has a 1/2 inch open gap at the top or bottom on one side. This leads to severe box integrity issues and is susceptible to easy crushing and/or other loss of strength. - Box is assembled wrong type 2: The separate pieces are "off" modestly and the box, when folded into shape has small 1/3 inch (diameter) holes at the corners which, unless taped over, can lead to foreign objects like dirt, bugs, etc.. entering the package. The box integrity is also affected. - Box is assembled wrong type 3: The separate pieces are "off" slightly and the box, when folded into shape has a "bowing" effect. That is, its sides are not at reasonable right angles. If viewed from the side, a closed, taped up box, has a slight curve almost like a parenthesis. The box integrity is also affected. - Box is cut wrong: The box is not cut right and, when closed up for shipping has 1/4" or more gap where you wouldn't want one. This requires extra packing tape to secure the box. - Box adhesive is poor: Some boxes are "falling apart" at the adhesion points which makes a "stuffed" box unusable without a lot of supporting packing tap. - Boxes packed poorly: Some boxes have folds, bends, etc... on the flat surfaces which make it look "bad" when sending items out (if you're a seller). On top of the recent defects, the price (as expected) has slightly increased over the years. So with the increased price with increased defects has made me look for another source.

Pretty good little boxes.
Honestly, for what they are, I think they're just a little over-priced. But they served my intended use perfectly. I may need a few more so I wish you didn't have to buy a minimum of 25. A 10-pack would be nice. Good boxes though.*** EDIT: I thought I paid $26 for these. Actually, I paid $16. For that price, they're worth it.

Perfect for the upscale bookseller!
A great size for standard hardbacks and trade paperbacks. Typically, you can get two volumes (wrapped in paper) inside; single volume shipments require an air pillow or some type of packing. At around 3 1/2 oz in weight, it can be something to watch for on volumes that are under the one pound limit. I use this box on more expensive volumes wherein I want to make a nice, clean impression with the arrival of the package. The box is unmarked except for a single bottom panel which contains the standard box certificate, a Recycle logo, and a "Made in America" label. These sturdy containers are more expensive than cutting carboard flats from used stock but they definitely upgrade the look and feel of your final package! I use them judiciously but regularly.

They are great for the price
They are great for the price. Every now and then, I have to take the box apart at the seam to reposition the tab and tape it all back together as it was incorrectly glued. But I would continue to order them. I do wish the boxes were lighter actually. I use these for 1st class shipments and the boxes weigh almost 4 ounces, so when the postal website calculates shipping, my customer has the option to choose 1st class shipping as long as the contents are under 13oz...but often the weight of the box makes it so that I have to send the item via Priority. But when I put it into a priority box, it is once again, under the limit for 1st class. So obviously, priority boxes are lighter than these. Again...not enough of a problem to make me stop ordering them.

Great as gift boxes instead of gift bags.
We have a Self Storage facility in Austin, TX. We do a lot of community events and we use these small boxes to hand out. We use them instead of gift bags. Get the connection . . . Boxes for a storage business instead of bags :-) We love them.
