Wrangler Men's Rugged Wear Angler Relaxed-fit Jean

I like nice loose pants, much to my wife's dismay. These pants fit that bill. Only problem is that whoever measured the in-seem was on something. These are more like 34-35 and definitely not the 32 I ordered though the tag says 32. Kind of a minor thing though all things considered as the crotch is nice and loose and the waist is perfect with a little wiggle room due to the elastic. I like how they did the elastic in two spots on the back versus the entire waistband like some brands do.The other quality control issue was that one of the "secure closure" hook & loop squares on the back left pocket came already detached from the denim. So happens that's the side I keep my wallet in and don't usually want to have to fight to get into so it works for me. But quality control seems to be an issue with these. I got lucky, not sure if you will.

This is the 3nd time I have purchased these jeans. They are very comfortable with the relaxed fit allowing for unrestrictive movement. Previous pairs lasted a long time with normal wear and tear and yard work. I would still be wearing my last pair if battery acid from my boat had not got on the fabric. The two small pockets on the right thigh are good for holding small tools, but not a cell phone. The rear pockets have hook & loop closures. However, when you put a wallet in the pocket the hook & loop taps do not meet. This has been the case in each of the 3 pairs that I have owned. Wrangler should move the tabs higher in the pockets so that a wallet would not interfere with the hook & loop function. I had also bought the same pants in Khaki. See separate review

I have been using Wrangler Angler products for about 30 years. Generally speaking they are as I stated in my headline, comfortable but not long-wearing. The jeans style is made of fairly lightweight denim, which is suitable for pants designed for fishing. My use is more extensive, gardening mostly, because they are comfortable, so they tend to wear out at the knees. I have noticed a drop off in quality control in the last few years, notably around the front pockets. I had to return a pair when my hands wouldn't even fit in the pockets, and had to cut a pocket loose that had been folded over and sewn to itself.

I just got these pants and so far they're a winner. After reading reviews I decided to order the next shorter size. That was a good move. Length is what it should be one size shorter. One little complaint is the velcro in the back pocket is a little far down from the top and I'm unable to fasten it with my bill fold in the pocket. Other than that they are a nice casual and kickin round pants and after a wash or two I'll probably order more if I don't have any problems. They are roomy in the seat and thighs but not too roomy - Just right!

I really like the Wrangler Angler pants (both jeans and khaki casual) since they are among the very few manufacturers that offer the stretch waistband. If you are a chubby guy, but don't want to have the baggy pants to accommodate your waist, try these.The jeans come out of the dryer completely wrinkle free. The khaki pants need a bit of ironing, but they really look shark if you like heavy starch from the cleaners. For this price range, you can't go wrong.Warning: I purchased several of these pants over the past 5 years. Even with the same size, the pants seem to be sized a little different each time - a bit tighter in the waist; a bit longer or shorter in the length. I guess it depends on which 3rd World country makes them for that particular year. But, the quality and consistency of the fabric is always the same.

I ordered this Item 2 sizes to small, thinking that the elastic in the waist would make up for the size that I wear. Boy was I wrong. So I'm returning them. Clothing is very hard to purchase on line, because a person needs to try them on for the proper fit before purchasing. I will try to do better when it comes to purchasing clothing online. Or just shop the nearest store for my clothing needs to insure a proper fit. I give this item 4 stars for quality and style.

Let me start out by saying I LOVE THESE PANTS! I have worn Wrangler Angler jeans for many years and suddenly, the sporting goods store where I have purchased them for years quit carrying them. I was a extremely excited to find that Amazon was still carrying them. I bought five pair to be sure I didn't run out. I wear regular Wranglers for everyday wear, but these pants are super to work in, fish in, and play golf in on cold days. They provide extra room to bend and stretch and have elastic in the waistbands to allow for this bending and stretching. I hope that Amazon continues to carry them in the future. I highly recommend them!

These pants fit as expected. This is the 2nd order of these Wrangler Rugged Wear Angler Jeans and as usual the fit is great. These are a tapered led jean with pleats at the waist along with partial elastic bands in the waist belt area. Seated or standing, the jeans readily adjust to movement without requiring readjustment. They accept a belt readily even though there is partial elastic in the waist band (I wear a belt almost as a force of habit). The addition of a belt is not necessary for these jeans as long as one buys the waist size required (ex. If you wear a 36 waist then buy the 36 waist in this jean and they should fit comfortably).
